New GEC #48 with Wharncliffe blade?

Might as well. Most of my other normal monthly purchases come directly out of the bank, don't see why knives should be any different. Cut PayPal out of the deal. :)
 
I dropped out of the 2012 Forum knife because what was originally going to be a #48 or other sort of "slimline" wharncliffe trapper turned into something a lot larger and heavier than I'd want. If/when I an afford one, I'll definitely be picking one of these up.
 
So who/what gets the pen blades? Charlie is that one exclusive to your SFO? Is the plan still developing, or will all yours be saber grind muskrat clip + pen? Any chance of flat grind muskrat clip + pen? That revs my engine the most I think, aside from the wharncliffes. The pen, of course has to be in front of the main, by the way. Any & all info is appreciated. :)
 
I don't suppose they have any 440C steel just laying around that might make its way into any of these new 48s.
 
Of the wharnies, sure. Someone else will have to post the hipped spey trappers (ok, I do have one of those coming :rolleyes: :))
 
I meant the wharnies.....I know how bad you have been waiting on these guys. To say you like a trapper, well.......:)......always enjoy seeing your collection and I too have been waiting for one of these to come around. Shaping up to be a great year for GEC.

I am hoping the pen blades will be exclusive - we'll have to wait and see!
 
I think that they should give senior citizens a 2 day advanced warning

before the rest of you young bucks purchase yours. :eek:
 
Well, they're on GEC's September schedule. Shouldn't be too long of a wait now. Although, with all the different variations, I think it might take them a couple weeks to get them all out the door. I guess it'll be a while before I take another group shot. I'll have to find a bigger background...

I can see that the next month or so is going to be very expensive...#48 wharncliffe, plus the new Northwoods and I see a small Pen setup knife...

Plus Casio is coming out with a watch in Nov. that I've always wanted... >bang head< I'm gonna be soooo in trouble :D
