Wow,

What more can I say than they have a marvelous selection of out of stock items! Need something, and fast? If not, then here's the place to go!

Care to elaborate?

NGK is one of the best and most reputable dealers on these forums.

If you are experiencing problems, then you really should call them. Their owner, and staff are some of the best in the business.

I really do want to hear exactly what your complaint is with these fine folks.

They are great to do business with if they have what you're looking for, but they do seem to have a large number of out-of-stock items.

And why complain about it being out of stock? It's either in or not, why fuss about it?

Did they charge your credit card and not have the item to ship?

Did they say on the web site they have it in stock and it's not, and put you in a backorder status with your money in their hands?

I too would enjoy a more in-depth explanation about this rather than a reiteration of four words, which leaves a lot to be desired.

Hell, their tag-line here reads to the effect of "If it's in stock, We got it." What more do you want than this from a discount seller maintaning a brick and mortar facility?

Even items they list as out of stock can usually be ordered in and sent within a few days...faster than most stores that list items as in stock !!!!

If something is 'out of stock', I bet they're doing their best to get more - it's tough to make a profit on items you don't have.;) I have dealt several times with NGK and their products and service are excellent.

haha this is BS banter. the reason NGK is always out of stock on new or popular items is because we all snatch them up. seriously, they maybe the best online retailer period. they have great prices and great service with super fast shipping. if you want an out of stock item call or email them so that they can hold one for you when new shipments come in.

this is the first time i heard someone complain about a place being too good and thus having too many customers :jerkit:

"Need something, and fast? If not, then here's the place to go!"

I don't know what you are talking about, NGK is by far the best online knife dealer that I have ordered from. I placed an order last night and when I woke up today my knife was already shipped.

In a store of this caliber, out of stock only can means business is good. Just stand by 'til restocking and you'll be well served. Or, stop whining, understand it's not their fault, it's business, and find other reputable online retailer that has your item in stock (good luck, though)

Wow, troll much. Way to complain about a completely trivial issue and attempt to harm the business of a really good set of folks over at New Graham. You have no base to make any complaints. Obviously you did not even bother to read the main page on their website, which explicitly states " If you can not find what your looking for E-Mail us or call us at our toll free number during regular store hours and we will be glad to get it for you and at no extra charge." In any case, if you do not like the items they have in stock, it is by no means an excuse to bash their company, shop somewhere else and keep your stupidity to yourself next time. :jerkit:

either they have it or they dont, & if they dont i'm sure mike is looking for it, no one has everything everyone is looking for all the time. come on now.

NGK is my fav online dealer FWIW, never a prob, IF they have it lol.

How's that New Graham's fault? If the manufacturer and/or the distributor has a stoppage in the supply line what would you like the dealer to do?

The owner, Michael Dye, has previously stated that he keeps many out of stock items listed because many people (including me) use that as a resource to check the prices of knives that used to be, and may again be, in stock. Since he clearly indicates which ones are out of stock, what's the issue?

J_K,
maybe you should post exactly what happened. Otherwise, it really isn't clear what your complaint is. This will reflect badly on you, as too many people here (myslef included) have had very good experiences dealing with New Graham.

OK, here's the experience:

Looked for popular models of knives, (plain edged of course). And....

Out of stock!

If they carried more in stock, they wouldn't run out.
Knives Plus, and Knifeworks both don't seem to have this problem to nearly the same extent as New Graham.

Out of stock!

Gotta love the exclamation.

The complaint? Out of stock! (Really, find a relatively popular knife, such as the Boker Wharcom folder) Guess what? Yep, you guessed it.
Bet I can find it at a good knife dealer, In stock! Heh heh.

What can I say, other than Jedi_Knife's complaint is about one of the silliest I've ever seen posted here.

Being out-of-stock is an inconvenience; however, how the company handles the situation tells the true story. For example. . . . .

" If you can not find what your looking for E-Mail us or call us at our toll free number during regular store hours and we will be glad to get it for you and at no extra charge."

This is a true statement ! I was shocked how fast they responded to my "out-of-stock" request. Phone call to knife in hand. . . . .less than a week.

I'm sure that NGK will have problems obtaining certain knives, due to the makers/manufacturers not producing runs on specific models. That's unfortunate, but you can't hold NGK responsible in these situations.

I've ordered quite a few knives from NGK. . . . .never a disappointment and always elated with their service and products.

So? Did they mis-represent something? Sell you something that wasn't what they claimed? Promise delivery they couldn't or wouldn't make? Sell you one thing and ship another? Sell you something, charge you, fail to meet promised shipping dates and then fail to answer inquiries via phone, email or snail-mail? Sell you a cheap knock-off as the Real Deal? Sell you a kit knife, claiming it was a hand-made custom? Sell you a knife stolen from someplace? Were they abusive to you on the phone, via email, etc.?

No.

Their transgression was to accurately reflect stock status on the products they sell! DAMN THEIR EYES!

If they carried more in stock, they wouldn't run out.
Unless, um, oh, I dunno... people bought it all up, maybe?

Knives Plus, and Knifeworks both don't seem to have this problem to nearly the same extent as New Graham.
Then take your business to them. For Christ's sake: You have no complaint here. NGK has not wronged you.

Bet I can find it at a good knife dealer, In stock! Heh heh.
Heh heh. I bet you can, too. I suggest you go do so and stop making a fool of yourself here.

What a maroon.
