New Graham- Your Source for Out of Stock Items!

Oh come now. Surely you can see for yourself the Out of stock! On many, many of the items they have pictures of on their website.
Like I said, I'm sure they are great folks and all, but- Out of stock!
That phrase is really starting to grow on me.

Would you rather they not mark "out of stock" items, and let customers place an order and charge it to their credit card, only to then find out it's "out of stock" and have to undo the order then?

So they didn't have what you wanted in stock when you wanted it, since you never actually had a transaction with NGK, you really have nothing to report "good, bad or ugly".

At least something is growing on you.

No sign of a growing awareness that NGK is offering you a dignified and respectable solution/resolution. But you'd rather continue bashing a reputable dealer and responsible forum member here. Do you think the everyone on BFC is marching to NGK's cadence but you're the only one REALLY in step. Try buying a Harley-Davidson and whine on any HD forum about the wait. Or better yet try it with a Randall knife.

Did you ever call Michael as he requested or are cloaca problems holding ya back and you'd rather hear yourself whine?????

Not Trolling. I should have added; I have purchased from NGK in the past and found them to be one of the best internet dealers I have ever done business with. I like that they post their O.O.S items.

After reading the thread it was obvious Jedi Boy was more interested in whining than a actual complaint and his time would be better spent somewhere else.

Tarmix, I was addressing your quote towards Jedi_Knife, not you. I don't think I can even remember someone who was legitimately dissatisfied with NGK. I ordered a Spyderco Ocelot from them for Christmas and had no problems or complaints. Oh, and it was IN STOCK, only one left in fact.
One would be hard pressed to find an internet dealer who so vigorously keeps track of their inventory.

Get over them having pictures of out-of-stock knives on their web site. It's obvious that you haven't taken into consideration the amount of time, effort, and money that it would take for NGK to add, remove, and delete said pics on a daily or hourly basis.

It would be a different matter if they led consumers to believe that knives are "in-stock". . . . .when they are actually "out-of-stock."

What you're bitching about is absolutely ridiculous !

Let's review the purpose of this sub-forum. . . . . .

The Good, The Bad, The Ugly!

This is your area to tell about your experiences (Good or Bad) with dealers, sellers, and individuals you've bought, sold, and traded with.

You haven't "bought, sold, and traded" anything. You're whine is about something that NKG has little to no control over. . . .out-of-stock knives.

We open at 9AM EST, please give me a call toll free 1.866.333.4445 and I will be glad to check availability on anything you are looking for. . . . .

I'll wager that you haven't taken advantage of this offer.

Go scab pick elsewhere !

I'll bet Jedi_Boy goes absolutely nuts when his Star Wars action figures are out of stock at the mall.

I give New Graham my business whenever they have a knife I want. That's often.

My patience for anyone upset that they can't have everything they want for the price they want at the moment they want it is out of stock.

Yes, it can be a bit frustrating sometimes when a wanted or needed item is out-of-stock. I experience this all the time from the grocery store to the hardware store...due to no fault of their own. Life just works that way sometimes. However, I can say from experience; New Graham operates a professional, helpful, polite, organization that I always look forward to dealing with. These are good people who deserve your phone call first so that they can prove their worth. :)

bringing out the ole' crystal ball, I see an image... it's a website... inventory page... why it's Bladeforums... member inventory... Jedi_Knife... is Out of stock!

What a thread of shit...it is a lot nicer they put OUT OF STOCK as opposed to putting IN STOCK and not having it. I've done online orders in the past where people have charged my credit card and not had the items in stock. A few weeks later, I feel rather screwed. Sure, NGK could charge it too and wait until the item is in stock, but they let you know (they are sure that they tell you even if you add the item to your cart, giving you fair options) that the item is not in stock so you don't wonder 'WTF Mate?' a month after placing the order.

NGK has become the BENCHMARK of internet cutlery sales. Call them and they answer. They are also very friendly. Service is exceptional, policies are fair, shipping options are flexible, handling times are short, and they take great care of their customers. If I am selling a knife on a forum, I will check to see what NGK is charging as it is the standard of internet sales. Of all possible things to complain about, one complains about a retailer being honest with their customers?

I was just about to post this myself...IMO an important point.

Many online dealers don't even post their stock situation so you're
left in the dark as to your order status unless you phone them to follow up.

Here NGK is getting slammed for being honest and scrupulous in detailing their
stock situation on every knife they carry! NO dealer is gonna have 100% stock, whether its NGK or Wal-Mart.

jedi knife- here's an online dealer to check out if you aren't satisfied with NGK:rolleyes: - cumberlandknives.com. give them a shot. the're standup :jerkit:

otherwise, take your bitching to W&C where we can have some fun with you. this is for experiences good, bad, or ugly, when you've bought, sold, or traded.

I got a surefire e2d from NGK and it came with bandaids!!!

I also got an atlantic salt for my dad, and it arrived in no time at all!

As many here have already noted..... take this to "whine and Cheese" where it belongs!!!!

That about sums this one up for me :-(:barf:

Fantastic place to do business with. Two thumbs way up. Crying about items that are out-of-stock is kinda petty if you ask me (which you didn't). You should, however, check out the items they DO have in stock. I've seen it with my own eyes and trust me. It would blow your mind. These folks aren't "drop shippers". What they have in stock is ACTUALLY in stock. A lot of internet stores don't have anything in stock. They simply take your order and relay it on to their supplier who drop ships it.

None of that monkey bidness in beautiful Bluefield. New Graham is the real deal. We're lucky to have such a fine place to buy high end knives from. :)

Never heard from Jedi  This seemed to have been real important to him last night????? Again, to our friends, I thank you for your support here. I will pass this thread on to MaryBeth, Annie, Tom and the others. As it has done for me, it will make them feel they are appreciated.

I'm sure New Graham Knives is a great great fabulous friendly place. Perhaps we should give them some sort of award. I'll just check the award inventory... Out of stock!

Oh well.

One other final note...... NGK pays for a dealer membership here and helps support the site you're whining on.

You could have easily taken the time to call NGK to work this out rather than spewing your rant all over the GB&U forum:thumbdn: :barf:

I'd just call NGK and ask if they could order it in for me. Or, if I needed it super fast, I'd look somewhere else. This technique is satisfying and effective, and I recommend it to all who are confronted with the heartbreak of out-of-stock items.

Not all that surprising that Jedi Boy didn't follow through with his whinny rant.

Hi Michael,

You guys are great. Too bad about your inventory problems; hope you get them squared away soon!

Take care.
