A) yes to worm groove I like the look
B) Yes to long pull, and a double grooved punch please
C) Yes to carbon steel, I enjoy the contrast of patina to shiny bolsters.

Thanks for sticking with it Charlie!

C. Carbon ....... Yes ( Fine with SS also. It's a 50/50 toss up)

Thank again

A) That's fine with me, GEC wormgroove would be cool.
B) I much prefer nail nicks, I find they have easier access and make the knife easier to open even with a strong pull (because nail nicks are usually farther from the pivot).
C) I'd be fine with carbon, but I'd definitely also be fine with stainless.

First off, It looks like I am committed to seeing this knife through to completion! I seriously hesitated, but the enthusiasm won me over. Thank you all!

A) I asked Bill about worm-groove jigging! He thinks we can do it. It's an extra step in the process which might cost as much as $1.50 to $2 per knife.

I think he will make an extra effort to make it good looking, as jigging is important to him. He has been a long-time student of the art!

What do you say? Please comment!

B) Do we really need a poll on a long pull? Gathered comments through this process have suggested an overwhelming preference for long pulls.

More comments please!

C) We did a Stainless knife last year, and I love mine!
Let's do Carbon steel this year please! It is way easier to get an acute edge on the punch, IMO.

Carbon steel or a Poll? What say you??

A. Worm-groove jigging.
B. Long pull.
C. Carbon steel.

I won't vote, as I'm not in for one.

Just wanted to say thanks Charlie!

a - worm groove would be sweet!

b - long pull would be sweet!

c - no preference, carbon steel would be sweet!

Carbon, worm grove, long pull spear works for me. :) You know you had me when you said it was gonna be a 2016 Traditional knife this year Charlie. Like always anyway I can contribute just let me know guys.

worm groove - not my favorite, but i'm in either way.
Long pull - looks great, yes please
Carbon - yes

Thank you sir!

I'd definitely be in for the worm groove. I really like most worm groove bone that I've handled. I also prefer long pull and carbon blades.

If possible, I'd strongly prefer the main blade to be pinchable. It should be, seeing as how it's a spear and the punch would be coming out of the other end, but I just wanted to put it out there.
