NEW MEMBER THREAD! If you're new to the forum post it here.

I am a knucklehead that may be one of the luckiest guys you would ever meet. And by they way, for anyone that doesn't live near an ocean......."raising seas is a lie and has been for 40 years"

Well it's nice of you to pop in and finally put that issue to rest. 👍

Greetings! My name is Jack, I grew up in Columbus, Ohio and now live in a burb called Dublin. Found the forum when I was researching a knife I picked up this weekend at the Ohio Pen Show. I ended up finding out its a 1960-1976 Camillus #14 Serpentine Jack. Have no idea the worth, don't really care that much, but I think it was a pretty cool find for $5. I cleaned it up and it snaps nice and looks pretty good I think.

My grandfather and father were some of the first to join the Case collectors club and I received my membership in 2000, but I never had the bug until I hit my 40's lol. I subscribe to a few YouTube channels and thats what finally got me. I also started doing leather work a little over 4 years ago during the shutdown and thats been keeping me busy as a side thing.

I have been a member of a few forums (mostly cigar forums) since the early 2000's, so I know the general guidelines of forums and I'll be mostly lurking and soaking in the info for now. Thanks for having me!

Hello! I joined today because I am looking for a custom maker to make me a knife. If you work with stainless steel and can build a full-tang knife with one-piece guard. Get a hold of me! TIA

North Texas.

Saw an ad for a HALO in the back of popular science mag for $199 decades ago. Nothing else. Picture, name, cost address...no internet.

Stuck with me. Discovered Microtech just before the 5 released....and here we are...with a broader taste and addictive feel. Ha

Hello! I have perused the Forums over l
the last few years usually if I had a question related to bladesmithing. I’ve found a wealth of knowledge here and folks that are willing to share.
Over the past year I have delved into pattern welded steel since I got my press, and have been creating billets from stacks of steel and canisters as well.

New member here, currently in the process of prototyping and launching my knife company. Excited to be here!

Hello all,

My name is Nick, I'm a knife nut, bushcrafter, outdoorsman, environmental engineer, and hobbiest knifemaker in my very limited free time. I've been a lurker for years on the forums, and created an account a few years ago, but never really for started. So here I am reintroducing myself. Thanks for the wealth of knowledge over the years!

Hola...Lurked here and there , but figured about time. I like pointy things. Been known to buy a knife or two. On several boards as Belial or Belialson and see a few familiar names on here. Looking forward to visiting more often.

Hi all,
Wandered over here from another forum, wanted to check you guys out, plus apparently, it's the place to go if you are looking for pocket carvers. Had a couple flippers, fidgety but not really my thing, have a couple fixed blades, all of the bushcraft variety, and now I am trying not to slice my fingers off learning to whittle. Looking forward to interacting with everyone.
Cheers

Welcome! There are definitely a few crafters in the neighborhood that will be more than willing to get you off and running.

Recently joined, just saying hi. Wanted to learn a little about sharp things and how to make them that way.
