well, i believe the proper verb regarding felines is "to sling" perhaps to juggle. they don't throw well, as they tend to hold on...

You have to tie their tales together first, then just whip one around by the head and the other naturally goes. It's great fun to throw them over the telephone wires like this. Much more exciting than shoes.
