New run of 48 Weasels, Hawthornes, DJ's, and IT's!

Exceptional photo work as always Al. The blue dye in the "blueberry" almost reminds me of my 92 Talon in blue camel bone which is one of my all time favorite dyed GEC colors.

Exactly what I was thinking. Here I had dogged the Blueberry in an earlier post for a bad dye job and when I look at Al's photo (which is a great shot, BTW) I realized the hue was pretty much the same as my Talon in blue camel bone, which I absolutely love.

These would appear to have turned out much better than what was expected from the "in process" photos on the GEC site. In the future, Rat will withold judgment until he sees the final product!

Welp, I'm up to 3 with a smooth white bone on the way. I like this pattern more than I thought I would & the jigged bone versions are growing on me, gotta say.

The key difference in the green and the blue is the quality of the dye. The green just hasn't worked quite as well, making the consistency of the blue more obvious. It must be very hard to get this right.

Anyway I am hoping the next run sees some blue in the two blades 👍

Stunning green and blue hues there! The wood is beautiful too but the dyed bone just seems to pop.

Very nice, Alan. Received the stag version this week too. I plan on posting a group shot when I get around to taking a picture.

All the best, Steve

Excellent Steve! Look forward to the group shot ! Picking the stag from 20+ photos was a little stressful! Turned out fine. It does have that pinkish cast that one of my Stag 13's also has. But it's growing on me[emoji1]

Nice family portrait Champ. Those all came out nice. I really like the stag you landed.

Really nice shot and collection of 48's Champthekid. I ordered one of the two-blade tiger eyes that are just released. Hoping it is really nice. No, actually EXPECTING it is going to be really nice.

I haven't figured out how to buy a Lone Star 48 even if I wanted to. I got my two blade tiger eye weasel today. Beautiful knife!! May have to get a jigged bone two blade to keep it company.

I'm in control, I can stop any time I want. ;)

I don't buy traditional knives on the secondary market except at shows (face to face sales). As far as the white micarta Lone Star 48 goes, no big deal. There is always another release coming up. I am more than likely going to get a two-blade autumn jigged bone 48 when they are released by GEC. The two blade 48's are still a thin pocket package and feels a lot like a regular trapper in the pocket.

Does anyone have any ideas or leads as to what the Northfield Bone (on the improved throigh collectors) might be?

I'm excited to see how the Rotten Banana Bone covers turn out. It shouldn't be long until pictures show up!
