New Run of No. 15s (Beer Scout and Otherwise)

My Charred Beer Barrel oak should be here Saturday thanks to folks on this thread that inspired me not to give up my search 👍 Really loving the unique character of the ones posted here .

My Charred Beer Barrel is scheduled to be delivered today and I can't wait to check it out.

I have a super small GEC "collection" and can't afford to have safe queen duplicates, but these scouts really call to me. I absolutely do not also need the maroon linen, but it looks incredibly tempting. Here is what's with me almost every day. I always liked how the blood red sawcut color plays nicely with the maroon linen on my fixed blade. Obviously a maroon Beer Scout would match even better. :)

Here is my charred BS. I was hoping for one that was not just all black, so this one suits me just fine!

My Charred Oak arrived today and I'm thrilled.

I'm most surprised how different the covers can look depending on the light and angle you're holding it.

Compare the amount of lighter wood in the pic above to what's shown below.

Everything is perfectly centered even though I failed to get a good pic of that.

I think a maroon macarta would really complete your spread of BS 's 😆

My Beer Scout came in a few days ago. (Little slower up here in the frozen north I guess lol)

I couldn't be any happier with it :)

(Still kinda bummed about those charred ones tho. May have to buy another knife to ease my troubled mind lol)

I really like my maroon micarta Beer Scout. I've been carrying it ever since it arrived, but those charred oak ones sure came out nice.

Looking good 👍

Same here my maroon macarta is a daily carry in my leather slip . Not so much for protection but I like the way it rides in the pocket and feels much better . But it does protect it incase you ever do need to put something in the same pocket .

Got my Charred today, and it's absolutely gorgeous. The collector in me says, "No. Don't touch it!! Tuck it away in a knife safe."

But the knife nut in me knows that this baby is going to get some serious pocket time. This is my favorite Beer Scout Knife to date. I love the aesthetic and how absurdly appropriate these covers are for this model.

Despite really liking every option in this years run of Beer Scouts I was not planning on picking one up. I had resisted the temptation provided by months of available pre order. I even managed to hold strong once pictures of the run began to show and stellar reviews started to pile up. The beer barrel oak almost made me fold. The quality, character and history of the wood combined with stunning photos was a true test of will power. Then came the charred barrel oak, crafted from the interior staves and I could resist no longer. The knife was waiting for me when I got home last night and I could not be happier. Having been intrigued by the regular barrel run this one is perfect for me. Good ol 99 is the best of both worlds showing the beauty of the oak and character of the charr. Well executed with a great story which was more then this knife lover could take.

And one with its brother the GunScout from last run-

^^ Don't feel bad as I to was fighting the temptation and almost missed the charred version because of that . I only caved in 3 times lol last being the charred that should arrive today" fingers crossed"
BTW love the character yours has and originality👍

Absolutely stunning !!!
Congrats !!
Mine hasn't arrived yet and still can't decide if I'm going to carry it or not . My standard beer barrel oak is so nice I can't seem to even wipe off the factory oil let alone carry it lol . But my macarta as mentioned earlier is my edc and love it . I think with the charred being only what one of 250 might be hard to carry . I enjoy collecting as much as I do having users so it will be enjoyed either way .

Well here she is fresh out of the tube with Factory oil and all lol . Couldn't be happier I'm loving the character and what a sweetie a nice soft pull about 4 on the secondary and a 5 on the main but still has a nice snap . This charred barrel oak is really nice .
Think I'm in love !!!! 😊
