Had a bunch of these in and out of the cart. Imo the topography handles on the 110 made it the coolest knife in the offering, but they were gone before I got to the site, along w the 119. The moose skinner is cool and the price isn't bad, it just doesn't scream, "spend a hundred bucks!" 118 is nice, but I'd rather get a pro 105. Just bought a couple of shirts last week that would have qualified me for free shipping on the 118, 110 or 112 🤦‍♂️
 
On bucks site it states these are g10, but in their youtube video it says they are micarta? I assume they are g10? Was this change made at one point or is the video just incorrect? When was the last time they were available? The pro 112s that is...

I think the 112 Ranger Pro's were in the catalog until this year, but have shown up as web specials a time or two since January. You might still find some at online retailers if you miss this deal. I have one. It's g10, and an awesome knife. I haven't seen the Buck video, and can't answer your question about micarta.

I've come to realize that Buck's marketing department sometimes gets it wrong.

Remember the brass and nickel 110s?
Some folks got a big surprise then.
But sometimes that's a good thing.🤔

ya talkin those half brass, half nickel 111s? I got one of those from someone who didn't care for the brass....

That's the one.
I could see being a bit put off by it at first. With no mention of what it really was at POS.

But when you realize how odd it is.... 👍
 
I'm debating ordering one of the cerakote 112 slims that are still up, does anyone have one? I'm not the biggest fan of blade coatings but I like the combination of micarta with a normal blade with a true blade stamp and not an etch.
 
A lot of nice web specials this passed week. I'm going to have get one of those money trees for the backyard. Fortunately, most of the really nice ones were sold out before I could find my wallet😉

I do somewhere as I have a couple of them. I'll try to post tonight when I have time to look for a pic of one of them.

naw it was a communication messup between making side and listing side on web for the sale. where they advertised it as all nickel silver but it was always supposed to be half brass and half nickel silver, and was. so some folks who dislike brass got one and were surprised to see the yellow of the brass on half of it.
 
I remember when those were for sale.
I was looking at the listing thinking "what's so special about that?".
