New Web Specials Buck Website

Wish I had seen those 212's before they sold out. Like you said, though, at least I saved some money.
I do not own any 212s and they definitely peaked my interest..... the 119 sold out while I was deciding to purchase it.. 😆 I picked up the orange 110 that i missed last week.... gotta give the wallet a rest. Always a tough decision too drop a lot on the specials before the botm comes out....

Benny,
That topo 110lt is a great knife. I really love how it carries in the pocket, and isn't afraid to work in the yard. I wish it was a regular offering, maybe in different colors. Then again, I don't "need" another 110...

Those Walnut 110's look sexy. I'm a sucker for a drop point.

Would someone tell me more about the 005 Gen 5? Its not a model I'm familiar with.

-Mike

I was thinking the same thing. But, depending on what the wood actually looks like, is what is holding me back from making the purchase.

Sorry I don't have any info about the Gen 5

The Gen5 is the same size as the 113.
Tho the guard is more pronounced on the Gen5.

If you like small fixed blades, the Gen5 is a sweet little knife. A good size for edc.
There's very few Gen5 sheaths that I like.
It looks as this is a vertical carry nylon, it could be nice.
There was an old nylon that could be vertical or horizontal carry...... It sorta sucked imo.

I ordered one.
I like 'em. A lot.😊

Adding to what GPyro GPyro said about the Gen5 is a tidbit about the origin of the name.
Josh Buck is 5th generation (CJ's son) and the knife was a design project.
Introduced in 2007 with a Snakewood handle and mirror polished 154CM blade.
A number of Gen5 LE's have been issued over the years.
I ordered the Nickel Silver version and a 111 today.

First issue 2007.

That's a nice one.
That style sheath is my favorite.

I don't think many in the past were nickle. Most were brass.

Those are some nice offerings that dropped today. It's good to see something new.
The sheath for the gen5 looks like the one for the Buck maxlite 2. Totally lazy in my opinion. Nice knife though.
Since we never see a Vanguard in a steel other than 420HC, I'm starting to wonder if there's some agreement with Cabela's about this.
The 111 is totally cool.
Thanks, Buck, for droppin some new blades!

I don't know why it took me so long to order a Gen 5 with nickel bolsters, but it is on order now. I knew I was going to order one the minute I got the email this afternoon. My only decision was between the brass and nickel bolsters.

Free shipping: I have had a 113 in and out of my cart for I don't know how long. I decided to go ahead and get it today, so I would qualify for free shipping. Lo and behold! they were out of stock. D'oh!!! I went ahead and ordered a 726 Mini Spitfire to get the free shipping... :)

The Gen 5 is a very nice fixed blade. I have 2 in received as Blade Show award knives. Many times I have been tempted to use one or both but the mirror polished blades stopped me. Plus the fact that they are award knives. I might have to pick up one!
