New Web Specials Buck Website

Received the Gen 5 yesterday. It's OK but tumble finished blades are not my favorites. In contrast to the polished nickel silver guard the blade looks dull and "unfinished". To my thinking, tumble finished blades are an economy feature for lower end knives.
Mine's arriving today, maybe it's a user😉

I suggest that you reach out to Buck and ask for a price adjustment or to return the knife since it is not in the originally advertised S45VN steel. I have one enroute and will be contacting Buck to discuss the discrepancy.
Yes, I did message them just now. I'll let you know what I hear back. I did want to make sure to let other people know about the swap though.

@revnewk Good question as the nylon sheath does not seem impressive, nor appropriate given these Gen 5s are not low end blades.

I will say the leather Gen 5 slip sheaths are quite different from the 113 leather sheath and I would not think it would be a good fit. I will be trying the Gen 5 in a 113 sheath tonight after work.
I prefer the look of the leather. The brown sheat that came with the botm is beautiful and compliments the handle. However, I prefer nylon for knives I carry because they don't tarnish the bolsters.

Received this morning. Appears to be the same blade finish as the original Gen 5. Not exactly tumble,, maybe a polished tumble as they are fairly reflective. I like them both.
Although the sheaths are nylon, they are sturdy and well made.

BuckShack BuckShack they weigh exactly 118 grams each.

got mine yesterday too.....what I like is the 12c27 steel. size wise it's small and not my thing, but not a bad designed little knife. xl it to a 4" blade and matching sized handle and I'd like it a lot more.

I ordered this one along with the BOTM and when the box came it was MIA..But Buck found it! The blade is really dark and I think it would be perfect for several of the Take-Apart 112's but it's always been hard to get a bare blade from Buck. But I'm tempted..20221007_171530.jpg20221007_171422.jpg

Yes it is 420 or at least not marked. I thought the Slim Pro came in S30V and the Slim Pro Plus in S35VN..But at $61.99 (??) I guess you get 420.

I was hoping to pick up a Rosewood Vanguard after Christmas. 46 left yesterday, gone today... new selection this week possibly?

Really hoping to get my spa knives back before Christmas. They recieved them on halloween and i paid for them back on the 10th.... patience is wearing out.... 722 has been out of my pocket far too long.
