Well if you buy the 112 BO you get the opportunity to then buy a 110 charcoal dymondwood with 154cm blade for the incredible price of $30:D

I almost bit on that for my daughter, I was trying to determine if it was black paperstone or green when I saw that. :barf: No offense to those who do, but I dont like serrated blades.

Am I the only Buckeroo that remembers all the informational errors with Buck's sale site?
Why would a premium steel (and one never before in a 110) only be $30?
Maybe I’m just being a contrarian but I just can’t believe it.

FL, the year mark on mine is 2009... I don't know what 110 it came off, but i'm got it for my 186... So they had to make them in a 110 before... The one I have is stamped Buck/110->/USA and other side is BOS and 154CM... I hope that this helps... Now I have to go buy one or two... ITE ...

I just bought one of these charcoal/brass/154CM 110's off the site. I sent Buck an email asking them to confirm the blade steel. It is indeed 154CM. For $30, there's no way I could pass that up.

You guys are all killing me! The Christmas tree is going to have a bunch of rectangular Buck boxes under it this year and nothing else.

2009 154cm 110 blades...I wonder if they got made and never used? I sure never heard a wiff of a hint about them before. Very interesting and I'm glad they are available now.

"I have no idea. I can tell you they had about 1" of dust on them... "

I'm hoping that they are more than a year old.

How long does it take to accumulate 1" of dust in Idaho? Now if they were in my house, they could be a week old and have that much on them. ;)

In an industrial setting dust can sometimes accumulate quickly. I don't really care how old they are. I may be wrong, but I seem to recall a couple years ago seeing 154CM as an option on the CKS page, along with BG-42. This was before the big price jump of Sambar Stag, and Damascus was listed as an option but "Not Available at This Time". I Don't think it was that way for long. However, I'm of the age where memory sometimes plays tricks... :)

well came away ordering 4 of the 154 110s (after reading ya'll talk so much about em), the cowbone 110, the camel 500 and 2 of the 450 blade 112s (after hearing here they are plain edge). time to move away from the computer now

Dang dude...that's a haul. I ordered 2 myself last night. I really like the NSB Charcoal DW that I have. I hope I like the Brass bolsters just as much. The price was so good that I plan on using the 2nd one as a user.

 I think you nailed it wolfdog!

I wouldnt be surprised if some of these knives have custom shop or "designers choice" stamps.

Then I would have to ask though, why they didnt use them up in the CKS. Although, if I were to bet, it was like when they misplaced the last 100 BG-42 blades, and they were offered later but you had to call and request them as the site was already changed.

well i'm really knew to this Buck thing and no far too little to go shopping for used or collectibles...know just enough to get hosed! so for me the web specials are the way i get my feet wet with some of the higher end (to me at least) versions of models i like. so when i find a model w/ a bit nicer handle or with a higher end steel for the same or a bit more then a standard version new today i grab a couple.

so the ones with the nicer handles i just grab one of and will actually wear and use em for special occasions (like a bbq revolver!). but the versions i think i'd like to use too i'll generally buy a user and a looker.

but those 110s w/ the 154 i figure use one, keep one and one each for my daughters once they are ready for one. been finding a few versions of what they see me with all the time to set aside for them (ie..their husbands!?!) to end up with of their own in a few years. and if they dont want em i'll be glad to keep em! sure beats beanie babies or that kinda crap

but these web specials sure help a new fella like me build up a collection thats nice to look at but affordable enough to use. sure cant say that about a lot of other brands

Yep, wingslevel, what's a Web Special today can become a rare find tomorrow. Many are buildouts - excess parts from various projects (some of very high quality) put together in very limited numbers - as web specials. Good deal all around.

I received an emailed order confirmation the moment I completed the online order and pushed the enter button. On that confirmation email it stated that the expected shipping date was the very next day. UPS, the free option if buy $50 of stuff, to my residence takes 7-10 days, also on the confirmation email.

got a confirmation # on buck page and immediate email conf w/ ship date expected the next day for first order. got a conf # on buck page but yet to recieve email conf for second order.

though last couple orders didnt get the order conf email or delivery/shipped conf email until the same day they arrived at the house.
