This guy on eBay has a lot of inexpensive Name Brand knives too. SOG going at $13. just does not add up that it is legitamate product.

Trentu, the thing is, when you sell goods at a net LOSS per unit sold, you don't make any profit no matter how many you sell.... in fact, the more you sell, the more you LOOSE.

The only huge exception to this is the untold number of high end game consoles such as PS3's and XBox360's that are sold. Each is sold at a significant loss to capture the game sales/market share later. The knife industry cannot benefit from this tactic.

The Chinese have a much different view of intelectual property than ours in the West. This is a cultural tradition in China. The combination of this Chinese tradition of copying things they like combined with the incredibly aggressive capitalism dominating China today is a real problem for the entire world. Solving this problem will be a tremendous challenge for people and politicians in the coming years.

Western consumers today should know they aren't doing themselves or their economies any favors by buying counterfeit goods.

I could not have stated this any better. And consider this, the knife industry is small change compared to whose are really taking a loss. The Motion Picture and Music industry. Copyright infringement good luck. These folks will sue for thousands for teenager downloading a song in this country, but have been powerless against the counterfeits from overseas. That's because there is a powerfull and very well paid lobby in our congress for their "protection". The Chinese government on the other hand could care less that these millionaires bank accounts aren't filling fast enough to suit them.

You think ebays legal dept would catch wind of it and pull the knives off. The guy has relisted them several times because the winner wouldn't pay. I wonder if someone is doing it to send him a message?

I have not paid for the one that I have won yet. I am awaiting a ruling from eBay. I understand that the items have been reported as suspect.

I hope the guy selling these has a bunch of them and that they are confiscated. People that sell products like that should lose their shirts.
