New Zombie TV Show ( The Walking Dead )

I bought this show on itunes and so far its pretty good! glad to see networks taking a little risk with a zombie show

Great book, I just finished it and will probably start it again before the end of the mth. The show is good imo and at least is entertaining, even though you gotta love hollywood. For all their "knowledge", they consistently get the specifics wrong. IE Glocks with safteys and M1A1's with floor panel access.

Has anyone read World War Z and The Zombie Survival Guide and now cant read or see anything zombie related without quoting or having debates from facts from the books? The whole time i watch The Walking Dead im talking to myself and people around me about what they're doing wrong and "proper zombie disposal". Find it funny how ive been a lurker on this forum for so long and i finally register and my first post is on a zombie thread.

"I just saw Heat!"

I mean, I just watched the pilot. It was great! Too bad Hulu's not posting the other episodes.

Gotta find someone to DVR it for me.

Someone has been putting up the episodes on youtube in about 5 parts, that's how I've been watching it.

Episode two was alright, but I forsee lots of soap opera BS coming up...

I've been reading and collecting the comic since it first started. Great book; highly recommended even if you generally don't like comics.

The show seems to be very well done. Looking forward to the next episode. The show is a bit different from the book, but they seem to be doing a good job with it.

Link? (Tried to find it and was unsuccessful.)

That was a great episode last night! I wonder what's going to become of the missing one handed nut job?!?! I like how they've worked in a bunch of different sub plots within the storyline instead of just killing zombies.

only thing about the last episode that bothered me was using the hack saw to hack off your hand at the wrist was stupid , why not hack the 3/8" rebar your handcuffed too instead

I was wondering the exact same thing. Then again, it is TV. A cut off hand is more dramatic then cutting the rebar.

One thing never discussed, that hacksaw looked really well worn, could have been a fight of flight issue what with the zeds in the doorway already.

Can't wait for the next episode, I have read ALL the comic books, the show is doing a really solid job and I really, really, really love Laurie Holden.

I didn't see the last episode...but that guy cut his hand off?!?! Why not cut the damn chain?!?!

Yeah I didn't understand that one either?! I guess they're going for the dramatic effect and I'm sure him being one handed will play into the storyline later on.
