I don’t have any ZT Emersons, but that’s not surprising. I think the Kershaw Emersons were as good as Emerson Emersons.I concur on the Hinderer front, but ZT Emersons are still leading!

Currently, a new XM is a much better knife than a ZT05xx, for roughly the same price. If you’re looking to spend big bucks on a ZT0561, you’re much better off sinking that money into a new XM of your choice.
Is this real?As mentioned, this is the new ZT. Simply superb execution on this knife…

Aww, now I have to add one to my ever growing list.I will have to get a pic, but I want to confess it here, my favorite ZT of all of them I ever owned was hands down the oddball ZT 0850. I still have it, and it's absolutely the smoothest knife run on washers I own. It's silly with all the six gun adornments and that backspacer looking like stacked 9mm rounds was goofy....but that beautiful perfectly ground 3.75 inch blade is just a thing of beauty and the handle shape fits my hand perfectly. It's my favorite ZT, and it's the one I'd keep no question if I had to sell my others.
It's a rerelease of the Kershaw Tilt, and sadly, it's pretty underwhelming in person. I got a chance to play with one at BLADE and it just....it feels very much a product of its time...as in back when they first came out. I had a chance to buy one at retail and passed.MSRP: $750 CAD
The thing looks like a Star-Trek prop.
It's a Kershaw, not a ZT.Is this real?
I had an original years ago, and actually liked it. It was fairly utilitarian and was well-made for what it was. It's a rerelease of the Kershaw Tilt, and sadly, it's pretty underwhelming in person. So this is NOT one of the new ZT's?It's a Kershaw, not a ZT.
Yep. It basically gave off heavy 2014 vibes, back when ZT's main thought process was "Add carbon fiber because carbon fiber equals high-speed dressup!" It used to be that CF on a knife was a sign of a ultra high end version of that model. Now, CF is A. ultra common and B. available as a scale choice on virtually every brand.I had an original years ago, and actually liked it. It was fairly utilitarian and was well-made for what it was.
This iteration is just awful to look at IMO.
It's this:So this is NOT one of the new ZT's?
Thank goodness.

Local dealer who was with them (kai) at Bladeshow. I don't know many details, but it sounds like they were planning to release 1-2 more models and then retire the line in favor of higher end Kershaws. I don't have any official source or anything... just word of mouth.
I recall when the second one dropped, those were a sprint run, weren't they? Either way, the blue carbon fiber was what initially caught my eye, and to this day it's just a gorgeous knife in my eyes. Thank you for sharing these pictures.Should post these in the ZT picture thread but, for those who've never seen one before, here are pics of my two ZT0850s -- the standard & CF models:

It’s real, it’s an Kershaw and I find it to be incredibly well made. As good as my 0392s and 0606, in my opinion. To each their own, though. It’s strangely very ergonomic. It's a rerelease of the Kershaw Tilt, and sadly, it's pretty underwhelming in person. I didn't mean to throw shade, I'm not a collector, so I'm always. thinking practical. The 0470, I loved many things about it, but could but get myself to carry it. I'm hoping the new ZT will not just be a practice in manufacturing something unique, but something I can feel good about using. It’s real, it’s an Kershaw and I find it to be incredibly well made. I posted it to show that there will still be high end knives from KAI, they’ll just have a Kershaw name.
