New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

I posted a comment on KAI'S facebook page asking about any new info and they replied they are still experimenting with how to make them
 
I played with the Proto. They got it right in my book. I hope they aren't having problems.

Just for giggles I would love to see them redo the ZT 300 with a new steel and grind. Stonewash finish the blade. Smooth the Ti and remove the assisted opening. Also, change out the g10 pattern. Its a great platform to mix up. Just like Strider does the SMF.

Yaeh that! Except leave the assist alone or make it optional. Mine was extremely powerful opening with a/o.
 
How about keeping the assist and losing the the recurve? That in stonewashed dress with Strider type CC treatment. CTS-20CP makes this a dream knife. I'd lose the liner too. I feel pretty good about G10 alone at this point.

Why is this thread dead? How can such an exceptional product have lost much hype in the past few months? What's going on?
 
I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but how many versions of the 0560/0561 are we expecting? I saw listed in a certain online knife store different variations of black blades and serrated blades. Any truth, or just speculation (or I completely missed it in this thread)?

Not dead, people are justifiably distracted by the AMAZING TILT!

It is one way for everyone who can get their hands on one to get an idea of what the 0560/0561 will be like to flip.
 
Can only speak for myself,but: I want all three: 0560,0561,0777.

But I may have painted myself into a corner....since she still hasn't found work.

If all 3 were up for sale right now, it would be a major stretch to raise the lump sum....selling my collectables,etc.

And the closer to the Holidays,the less likely it could be done.Period.

November/December? Maybe one....All 3? No way.

So,speaking strictly for me,I'm now hoping for Feb. 2012 release: 0561....March 2012 release: 0560....April 2012 release: 0777.

Mixed emotions: because of old hand injuries,I really want the Flippers.Even if it forced me to sell my 0551,and a few other pieces.
The 0777 would be a Safe Queen; a hand-down knife. Maybe unattainable.

So I'm split between cheering 'em on, and hoping it'll be early next year.

But that's just me.

I believe so far these types have been mentioned from different vendors:

Stonewashed
DLC'd
Tiger Striped
Partial serrations
Handle color options so far have only been black and earth brown that I've seen though But I also seem to remember hearing the possibility of Mr. Hinderer making scales, but can't verify.

Still stoked for this knife, it'll be by far my most expensive and largest folder.
 
I'm with you Gnarly. Waiting til spring is the best option for my wallet. I'm actually hoping the 0777 will emerge a little later...
