New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

I hope these are going to be production knives and not an LE. The LE thing, while something I am successful at, get's stressful and tiring and is only worthwhile when it's offered with a "hard to find in quantities" steel.

So save the LE routine unless you can offer it in S90V, M390 or S110V :) If these are offered I promise to buy at least 1 LE and 2 productions in the S35VN, Elmax or Vanax steels.

LOL..resist!! haha I know when you got a exciting project its really hard! plus these guys are a tough lot!!:D

Rick

Pffft, all that I asked for was a cheapo teflon washer. :p

What do you put in those Rick, I'm attracted to them like crack. :D:D

As it stands, KVT is the only thing Thomas hasn't ruled out... and he did take the time to rule out everything else. Time for an early celebration?

Kershaw Velocity Technology- check out the upcoming Tilt

As long as it has good detent when closed (and it isn't prohibitively expensive), then I'm still in.

I've never handled a knife with this feature so I can't determine if the benefit outweighs the cost, but please don't add expense for gimmicktry. My ZT 03XXs, 0350, 0551, and other Kershaws do not suffer from gritty action due to lack of ball bearings.

Rick

:grumpy: Tough crowd here every day! :grumpy:

Truth is: we've been spoiled into expecting the exceptional!

So blame whomever thy will, but mostly thyself....

And I'll close with one of my Dad's favorite sayings:

'Don't worry about the mule going blind, boys; just load the wagon!'

BRING IT!

Every flipper that I own or have handled that uses some sort of bearing system at the pivot always has a strong detent. This is part of what makes these flippers flip so well without any wrist needed. Between the strong detent and the smooth gliding action because of the bearings you have flippers that open like a rocket on oiled glass. I wouldn't call it gimmicky at all.

5 hours and nobody has any comments? Really? And page 2 to boot!!! C'mon now. :)

Thomas, tell us more about these ball bearing things.

Slackers eh? I was at the store, glad you caught it. We have to keep the heat on Thomas and Rick. :p

All I know about bearing systems from YouTube - is SPEED! :D

Bring it on! 3.75" - 4" blade with bearings is enough to make me get a 2nd job for this run!!
