New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

I agree 100%. This won't just be a 0551 with a flipper and different blade steel. I would only imagine there will be some real differences that will shake things up and set the new standard for production knives. I just hope the price point stays at $200 or less.

There wouldn't be anything wrong with it if it was. They could have gone that route and been just fine. The 0551 is a hell of a knife. As a matter of fact it is one of my all time favorites right up there with knives costing twice as much. It's one of those knives that I almost wish I didn't own so I could buy again! :D

I'm having mine pimped even as we speak and plan on buying an 0550 when it's released.

Trust me bro. It feels good buying them the second time even when you already have it. :D

I love my 0551 too!! Still waiting on the second one to come that I ordered with Knifecenter.:D

Excellent wording,gentlemen!

(Can we make that required reading?)

Most of us knifevultures will devour every word, and occasionally stir the pot.;)
(This group will buy the knife; maybe more than one.)

Others, less committed, will simply skim this thread & assume.
(And dash off elsewhere with their assumptions.)

Knifevultures have, once again, flocked around this one!

~Gnarly

Some of us read every page and choose not to post, doesn't make us less committed, or any less interested in the knife or prone to assumptions.

-Jack

If his comment doesn't apply to you then you shouldn't be defending yourself!!:D:p JK, JK......I don't think that the post was directed at folks like you, and I don't think he was saying that you have to post like crazy in this thread to be taken seriously. Lots of fans will just view this progress from the sidelines and still jump on this knife when it's available:thumbup:

Lol I hear that for sure, I just felt compelled as a lurker in this thread (it happens sometimes!!) It's interesting to watch the frenzy play out (and for my .02, I'm hoping for KVT and S90V!!)

Thanx,jonnymac44 & Thingus995,

I meant no offense to any here, and should have included a third group: the esteemed members here who can read these posts and show enough constraint not to post, unless they have something specific to say.

And even the folks who browse thru here, pick out bits & pieces of our speculations, rantings & ravings, then scurry off to(? misinform? ) others what is coming next...they still serve a purpose:

It keeps the flame fanned!

Gnarly; no offense taken!! I just wanted to clarify that I am here because of all the great info you guys share, it is a veritable wealth of knowledge and I very much try not to go off half cocked, or not use the search function(!) or any number of other, unspeakable forum faux pas!! All is well by me, and if this new knife is anything like the 551 I got ten minutes ago (my first!!) then sign me up right now!!!

Regards,
-Jack

That's me. just sitting on the side lines. Reading all the pages, at least when Rick or Thomas have something new to add. I am looking forward to this one just like the 551 and 550.

i didnt take offense to that either. i do a lot of lurking too... I'm on here all the time but mainly to read- not post.

I feel like I have gotten to know a few of the members here like they are friends. Sometimes I think of myself as an "active member in the knife community"...but i realize I am not. My post count is only over 100. barely anything.

It doesn't mean I am a new to knives. It doesnt mean that I dont know what I am talking about. And it sure as heck doesn't mean that I lack enthusiasm. Probably the opposite, i may have more enthusiasm because I have less of an outlet than the massive posters. I bottle up my enthusiasm and my energy and I dont use it typing new posts. I spend most of my energy bouncing in my chair and clapping my hands whenever i am reading bladeforums... you can see how this makes it difficult to type.

i love knives and love hearing others opinions about knives. Thank you all for posting so people like me can just sit back and take it all in.

special thanks to makers like Rick and companies like Kershaw who give me products i can get excited over.

Blathering on about this and that doesn't make one any more knowledgeable than soaking in the info. I like to participate more than some, but I totally understand where you're coming from dude except you really need to see your Dr. and maybe get something for that jumping up and down thing you've got going on....lol :p :D

By the way..... Did ya' guys hear that ZT/Hinderer is going to make a new "flipper"?
;)
Ok, we need some more teaser.... teaser... Talk.

I hadn't heard. What are you talking about? I hope the Ti side will be stonewashed instead of the bead blast type finish on the 0551.

Amen to that - stonewash stays nice a long time!
