New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Well, while I am LOVING my 0561, I learned today that my 0560 is already shipped and on its way, scheduled to arrive on Monday. So a couple of things: First, re: the weight issue, Come on. If you own an XM, then you probably realize that you can pry a door open with it! I expect the 056X will be no different. I must say that despite having an extensive XM collection, I really love the relatively light weight of the 056X. I wore mine today clipped onto my Nylon running shorts. An XM would have had me naked in public. So stop whining about the light weight as if it is a drawback. If you want to complain, put your knife through its paces, find the failure point and ONLY THEN will you have earned the right to complain. Jeez, too light??? That's like saying a bike frame is too light, it just doesn't jive with reality. The light weight of this thing is one of the few areas where it may actually surpass the XM. This is like complaining that you got a Porsche when you asked for a Volkswagen. :confused:

Now I am certainly going to vote for Obama. But I realize that there may be a Republican or two on this site. So here is my suggestion. Since the field of candidates this year is so abysmal, why not write in Dave Anderson, our very own Kershawguy. From what I have seen, he follows through on his promises and gets the job done! Just something to consider. :D
LOL, Tower, you know we are friends, but I'd vote for Satan himself before I vote for 0bama! See ya at the summer Hinderer GTG?

Just scored a 560 and a 561. I think I am partial to the coyote brown scale, but both are equally smooth with tight lockup. Fit and finish is outstanding. Just happy to have them!

I for one love the light weight. It's amazing how much knife they can pack into those 5.75 ounces.

Does anyone know what hardness the ELMAX is being run at? I've always wondered since its primary asset is toughness. Thanks y'all.

I asked the same thing - Thomas answered 62-61 :thumbup:

I sure am looking forward to this blade. Guess I'll keep on waiting. I waited 5 years for a Randall Made Model 14, so I should be hardened to the wait. But I'm not.

560 serial # 0559 was delivered an hour ago :D Placed the clip for tip-up lefty carry, and been flippin' ever since :thumbup:

My 560 arrived today, I gotta say it's pretty sweet! It's definitely not a tank like my 300 but it does feel solid, locks up like a vault and is very well finished. It rides much better in the pocket than the 300 due to the obvious weight difference and for it's slightly thinner profile. My 551 is at ZT being replaced for a lockbar issue so I can't compare it to that knife but here are a few quick comparison shots I took beside my 300 and HEST 2.0. Also, check out the serial # I got...pretty cool.

Well today is a good day, I walk out to go back to work and the UPS guy dropped off my 551 from ZT service. Brand new in the box and locks up great! new 560 and 551 in the same day...:D

@flashpoint, Brad Southard did the regrind and it's a slicing machine!

@brandnwcolony, thanks bro.

Anyone receive one from New Graham yet? I had my pre-order very early with them and no email yet...:(

Just got my 0560 out of the mailbox and this is my first ZT. What a beast of a knife. I've never held any of the other models, but if guys are calling this one light, I can't imagine what the others are like. This is easily the heaviest duty folder I have. I like it. Great work ZT and Hinderer!

My 0560 arrived this afternoon (fantastic, since I didn't pre-order it until 27 Dec 11). All I can say about it is that there is nothing I do not like about it. Fit and finish perfect. Deployment fantastic. I will be putting a sharper edge on it this weekend with my Wicked Edge system. So many pictures posted already ... but I will add this comparison shot with my Spyderco LionSpy.

Even though the 0560 is a little bigger in overall length, it will be easier to EDC because it is not as beefy as the LionSpy.
