New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

It was a frame screw and I used the correct torx it just wouldn't move at all and gutted the screw. I already sent ZT an email. The first 2 didn't exactly come out easy and were caked in lock tight so that hints to the weld like attachment it had.

Did you get it apart yet? May try taking a soldiering iron to the head of the screw to loosen the loctite. You could also take the other side off and try twisting the standoff to get the screw loose.

Couldn't turn the standoff and don't have a soldering iron anymore. I'd have to go buy a screw out bit. Super bummed.

The last time lock tight kicked my ass like this was on my charger oil drain screw. Whatever Dbag tech changed the oil before I bought it dipped the screw in lock tight and I flowered a rachet bit on it. The dealer had to torque a clamp on it and get a pipe for leverage to get it out.

Not comparing ZT to that incident I just don't really like lock tight.

With all this talk , I had to see if I could loosen my screws on my 560 ......... not a problem
I have a set of Peter-R CF coming and wanted to make sure I was gonna be able to put them on.........LOL

I went a size bigger torx and forced that sucker out. Then I replaced with new screws.
It was on a new Sig 1911 Tac Ops. It stressed me out.
She's is as good as new.

Thx. ZT has awesome customer service. I'm sure they will take good care of you.

We'll see about this. It's my first time sending a knife in to kershaw, heard nothing but good things. I sent my 561 off yesterday. Side to side blade play got worse and tightening the pivot made blade centering even more off, close enough to touch the handle

Seriously blows... Screw on The 560 was so tight it stripped instead of unscrewing. Excitement from the Peter R scale just went down the drain.

I don't know what tools you were using, but this is why it's extremely important to use super-high-quality torx tools. I recommend "Wiha" brand, made in Germany. Never have I used anything with such a solid connection as Wiha.

Sometimes you can jam an allen wrench, or hex key in a stripped torx head, and get it out. Other times you can find the perfect length flat-head that fits two of the torx's points perfectly. If not, you can use a dremel cut-off wheel and "machine" a flat-head into the screw and get it out that way. Heating it usually helps with loc-tite, but be very careful not to mess with your blade's temper. Aside from all that, a screw extractor from the hardware store. Wish you the best of luck. Please let us know how it turns out.

Now that I've confirmed losing my new Spydie M390 millie on the golf course last Saturday, I really can't wait to get my 561. This blade will stay in my pocket.

Yes sir. That's some beauty right there. You have some good taste, my friend.

I dislike Sig very much, but everybody can appreciate a 1911. Great combo. By the way, what's in the sheath?

OT, my 0560 still has not left my side since I received it. It's on me when I'm at the house, on the toilet, going to work, and it sleeps on the nightstand right beside my head. One hell of a knife and it has kicked absolutely everything out of my pocket. I paired it up with a BK14 today. Actually had to do some work and the combo worked out great.

Dropped it off with FedEx.... Stupid para2 in my pocket.

Really tho the 560 kills everything else I have.

Easy man the Para 2 is an amazing knife. I have lots of great knives, way more expensive than a paramilitary, but I still consider it one of the best knives I have.
