Got mine today and I love it. This is my first ZT folder. I am a big Spyderco fan, but I am glad that I am expanding my horizons too.

My guess, primarily since there is less material removed, strength. Secondary benefits would be aesthetics.

This scale is sooooo smooth tho.

Yeah, I'm kinda over peel-ply(grip-tape) G-10 as well.

I prefer either smooth, or the Hinderer texture.

Hinderer doesn't make the frag scales... Monkey Edge makes those, at least they are a collab with ME.

I was debating where to post these pictures at, and then I saw someone a couple pages back requesting more pictures because they hadn't got their 056x yet. Well, here you go. These pictures(iPhone) really don't do the scale justice, but that sun lighting sure does make it beautiful.
