New ZT/Hinderer Flipper is Coming!!!0560/0561

Just sayin'......

A 3" blade is gonna look LOST between those slabs!

I could be radically mistaken, but IMO,if Thomas and Rick Hinderer were dead-set on marketing a 3" babyblade, they would be careful NOT to ever mention the Tiny Toy here, but would market it as a flipper nail clippers, available thru Bed,Bath & Beyond,Vogue magazine, the oprah network and Richard Simmons' website.

:jerkit:

Besides, the market is already rampant with three-inch blades....easy to identify...most of them have a hole in the blade.

Funny and I agree. What is it with you and the jerkit's all the time Gnarly, dang man.

I copied the photo of the slab being held to my computer and re-sized it until the watch band is 20 mm wide. At that point holding my hand up to the screen, my hand is very similar in size to whoever is holding the slab. I ended up with the slab being just shy of 5". That's my uneducated unscientific guess and I'm sticking to it.

I have a gut feeling that it will be Vanax 35 or something we haven't seen yet???? I have read more an the M390 but I haven't seen Kershaw say much about it. On a side note Thomas may go with a carpenter steel? He has spoke up on other posts talking about carpenter steel. I have seen tests where the CTS-20CP matches S90V in cutting and edge retention. Hmmmmmm... We shall see.....;)

I could see getting some guys together and doing a meet and greet at Joes Crabshack in Louisville.

I was thinking more like 420, AUS-6 or maybe surgical steel.... :D

Or they could get a bunch of old pots and melt them down and stamp the blades out of that, yeah that would be the ticket. :D

As long as you are heading in that direction, why not something innovative.
1024 layers of pattern welded Reynolds Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil.

How about another run of the excellent Elmax?

I agree 100% there. :)

ELMAX will take an insane edge, even by my standards it's beyond insane how sharp it can get.

VERY fined grain, very tough, and very stain resistant.

This is ELMAX, the hair is .001" thick.

Thanks. :D

A picture is worth a 1000 words you know. :)

I really love ELMAX, truly awesome stuff, can be ground thin, doesn't chip out and holds an edge extremely well without being over the top expensive like some other steels tend to be.

And it's not a darksider steel.......... Thomas.... :D
