no, I just got a phone call the other day asking if I wanted the stonewashed or black blade, since it was not an option when I pre-ordered. They said it is shipping in 3-4 weeks. I imagine that is when payment is due

The 0551,Really?, according to Thomas they will be ready tomorrow:D

I'm praying that the production 0550 comes with this grind and an uncoated blade...

There were talks that the production knife would get a coated blade, is it because the steel chosen is not stainless?

Nope and nope.
 
Gentleman at the Knifecenter I spoke to on Tuesday or Wednesday(cant remember exactly) said that the they had some confusion with the description and model numbers and called me at home to confirm what I wanted. After telling him I wanted a 0551 I asked if he had a ETA on these and his reply was that he just got off the phone with a ZT rep and that they were supposed to ship to dealers on Friday but something had happened and there would be a delay of approx. 4 weeks. He said they hoped to have them before Christmas.
So what is the deal? I am really confused now. Are they shipping Friday or are they another month out? Its no big deal either way as I have too many knives that dont get carried now (according to my lovely wife). Would like to know when this is going to hit the charge card though.
