3/64" on mine (#178), vs 4/64" on my umnum.
With the overtravel stop I'm not concerned with breakage.

Got #'s 387 and 388 here at work. Got to take a quick peek at one and love the look and feel of it. I don't mind the weight and love the texture of the G-10.
Will write more when I get to play with it more but wanted to say a big thanks to Rick, Thomas, and Dave, along with everybody else involved, for making this happen! You guys rock!!

Serial #0015 checking in. I would take pictures, but mine looks the same as the others with the exception of the serial number.
Initial impressions are as follows:
Positives--
-I think it looks rather nice in both the closed and opened positions
-Centered blade
-Tip up carry from the box
-Blade is nice and sharp, but I'm going to strop it anyway
-Smooth action
-Solid lockup at about 50% - 60%
-No sticky lockbar
-No blade play in any direction
-I like the thumbstuds
-I like the brick pattern on the G-10
-G-10 is nice and grippy
-Feels great in the hand
-Slides easily in and out of the pocket
-The pocket clip came with perfect tension
-Detent is pretty strong
-Excellent stonewash finish on the blade and the beadblast on the frame is very nice
-Comfortable but useful jimping at the thumb ramp
-Extra thick Ti lockside
-Big, thick standoffs
-Excellent placement of the pocket clip holes
Negatives--
-G-10 scale is slightly larger than the stainless steel liner all the way around. This causes the thumbstud to make contact with the G-10 rather than the steel liner.
-I would have like to see the lockbar built out just a little more so that my thumb catches a bit easier when I attempt to disengage the lock.
-I wish the steel clip was beadblasted like the frame.
As you can see, the positives far outweigh the negatives. I am really going to enjoy carrying and using this knife.

EDIT: By the way, everyone who is worried about the lockbar cutout being too thin let me put your minds at ease. It looks a lot thinner in the pictures than it actually is. This thing is beefy and I would not be concerned.

Well, I was overjoyed for a moment and then my curse kicked in.
When my knife arrived today I did the usual F&F inspection then moved straight to the sharpening stones. When I was done I noticed two things, the first being I could push the lock bar over the right after lock up and the second was rust on the liner side
At first I thought the rust may have been from using my water stones to sharpen but I dug a little deeper and found this.
The lock issue is one that I have seen before and I figured it was probably from too much oil, from the looks of it that seems to be the issue.
So before I fix the issues myself I would like to hear from Thomas or Rick. I can fix it myself and really don't want to send it back but if you want it for inspection I understand. I'm also not upset by this but rather just wanted to give you the heads up on a possible problem.

Yikes!!! Hope this is just an isolated case!!! From those with experience, is this something that just happens with sprint runs? I'm sure it will get fixed if they want you to send the knife back, but what a bummer after all the excitement.

My lockbar hits at about 50% although I think there may not be enough tension(bend) toward the blade which may give the impression of a weak lockbar. It has no desire to set firm on the blade - Which should be easily remedied by bending the lockbar a little more.
The cutout is about the same thickness as my SnG so I wouldn't think it too thin.
This knife is awesome. My worries are less than this post may suggest.:thumbup:

Not necessarily, I am on the back-up list and hadn't heard anything but contacted Dave anyway. He said that he is still waiting on responses from those on the original list to be yay or nay and depending on those results, some on the back-up list will then be contacted due to open spots. Furthermore, he is supposed to get more of the next run so he will be able to fill a number of back orders ultimately from that run. So, you might here something sooner or later depending on where you are on the back-order list.

That liner doesn't even look finished.
Can you post a pic of the lock-up RevDevil?
I'm hoping to receive mine today, preferably without those types of issues.
It's kind of surprising coming from ZT.
It's not horrible, but I was expecting earlier lock up like my ZT 0302.

One thing to note though; the liner under the G-10 isn't titanium, I believe it's supposed to be 410 stainless.

Indeed, the lockbar on my 0302 when I got it was was 20%, and it bought from a guy that was using it for almost 8 months daily. The XM18 was also around 20 and still is, just not sure what to make of it. Can't replace the stop pin as it does not impact lock up at all. I do love this knife, it's everything I thought it would be. It's just the lock interface that makes me wonder.
I took my knife apart and there was no rust, but the beginning of it. AZ is pretty dry right now, however the weather in Oregon is a different store, that could explain it. Not sure if I will keep this one or try again in December when the 2nd batch comes out.

I just got mine in the mail today, serial # 0028. I did a mini review with a few pics (sorry about the quality of the pics).
Overall the fit and finish of the knife is great. The G10 brick pattern is really grippy and feels good. It feels really good in the hand and the jimping is really comfortable. My G10 is flush against the liner and the thumbscrews don't touch the G10 at all, i seen no marks there. I checked for rust on the inside of the liner and there was none. I didn't take it apart but visually inspected it and there was no rust.
The blade on mine is perfectly centered and its sharp too. It cuts paper no problem and shaved arm hair with ease. I also cut up some 550 cord and it cuts through it very easy.
I just took a few pics next to my XM-18 for size comparison and its really similar in size. In hand it also feels about the same and they are very similar in weight too. The XM-18 was much smoother opening and closeing. The 0551 was kind of stiff but thats probably due to the fact its brand new.
If your on the fence on getting one of these you need to get one...they are sweet blades. This knife was worth the wait. Thanks Rick, Dave, Thomas W and everyone at the ZT crew who made this happen.
