New ZT0550 Thread !!!

I hope it has a 4 inch blade like the XM-24. That knife puts a serious grin on my face everytime I see it. I just haven't been able to bring myself to spend a grand on a knife yet.

Kershaw turn around is about 2 weeks.
Just got my 551 back today after having similar problems to those above. The lock appears to be perfectly fitted and locks up very nice, very smooth opening too.

My 0551 came back today. It took Kershaw only 8 days, including return transit time (I live 3,000 miles away from them), to get the knife back to me. Wow!

The function of my knife is much improved. It is easier/smoother to thumb open and there is no galling between the tang and lock-bar. Lastly, when closed the blade now sits dead-center in the frame. If there is any downside the tang area on my 0551 is now so highly polished it almost looks chromed.

Is this a tease or will this be a possibility? I'm currently looking for a custom scale for my 0551 since I'm not thrilled with the texture of the production scale.

Very cool! I have liked your knives and styling since the first time I saw em. Looking forward to getting my zt version. Hopefully after I get my back injury/pain more under control I'll be able to attend one of your knife classes. I already hinted to the wife about it. My name came up on the 0551 pre-order list. . But I had to pass because the funds already went to something else (it goes bang!). I hope I can get on the 0550 list because with the delay, that will hopefully give me enough time to build my reserves back up.
