New ZT0550 Thread !!!

I'm left wondering why ZT would limit a wildly popular model, and why they can't crank them out in greater numbers in both models.

No kidding. Just the Ken Onion variants alone must keep things humming.

I bought a couple Kershaws back in 1990s, but hadn't bought one in 10+ years until the 0550 came out (preferring brands with bug logos;)). Now I have a 0550, 0200, and a couple small Kershaws for office EDC. Lots of good designs, reasonable prices, and lots are Made in USA, which I appreciate greatly.

Sorry to sound like a Kershaw ad, I'm really not affiliated with them at all, just a happy return customer.

My only criticism would be clip design. How about some lower riding options?

I understood Kershaw customer service rep and nice lady Jennifer to say on the Nutnfancy Shot 2011 vid that the company has heard its customers and some of the 2011 models will come with deep pocket clips.

i also think the ZT 0780 (i think thats the model) has a lowrider clip. as least thats what Tommie Lucas said on a YT video i saw.

Thomas should I email my dealer again?

IF I send you an email (have yours as you kindly answered me a month ago) could you help me with dealers/stockers? prices and the availability we'd like (10 pieces?) is hard to get

another hurry up and wait thread, why not start another 550 thread after these things are actually in hand. got tired of waiting for the 550 551 and got a zt 0300. love the 0300 but wont pop for another $200 zt any time soon.
 
IMHO that's your loss. The 51 is one of the best production folders I have used if you are in need of a medium-large, heavy duty Ti framelock.

It's one of the best $200 I have spent on any knife too.

Aye, I cannot think of a better knife for the price than my 0551. $200 for this knife is downright cheap.

What? They are in hand...I have one in each hand, that is when I convert myself into the spinning cyclone of death. I ride off on my Paperwheel Mobile too.

How many dealers are still waiting on their shipments of 0551s?

I've been patiently waiting on an email from a certain knife store whose list I'm on, they have yet to receive any.

I found it surprising considering they are a pretty well known/popular knife store and also a dealer here on the forums.
