New ZT0550!!!

The current ZT lineup doesn't really do anything for me, but this one looks good. I would like to get one. I'm also curious about the new steel, and eagerly await field reports on the performance.

I was wondering about the ELMAX steel that you have chosen.

How does it compare with say the S30V steel you use in other knives in the ZT range?

No it won't. My guess it they get bought up within the first 24 hours.
 
Probably not, but I'll put the money on the wood - first time it's offered! Hope that Thomas is "on" it and it happens soon. My Mom always said "good things happen to he who waits" ...or something like that. :D
 
Yeah It looks like it'll be my first ZT for sure. I'm just hoping it isn't as heavy as the ZT300, love the knife and wanted to buy one but man its heavy

That wouldn't support my pants any better!

Something tells me that I'm not currently on the best work out plan, I smoke, drink, eat, sleep. If I'm not at work I'm probably sitting on my computer with a drink in my hand.

Took it on the chin like a man Bill....me too. Dr. got on my a** about weight gain last week....she said "I can have your thyroid checked"....I told her "don't bother, put a lock on my refrigerator and shut off my internet" :D :D

Remember if you don't sit on your computer eating steak and nachos while drinking bourbon and beer the terrorists win.
 
The only info I really need at this point is where I can pre-order one and how much...but since I'm sure that's still a ways off in the future, any other info would be a great way to make the time go by faster.
