Awesome! Thanks for taking the time to post these. One question if I may (please pardon me if this has already been addressed and I just missed it:o): Will the final production version have the glass breaker?

Nice!! Already have my name on the reserve list with my local dealer for the Sprint Run!!!

How is the foreseen durability compared to say the Benchmade MPR 755?

Thanks again guys! Believe me it was my pleasure to take the 0550 out and getting it dirty!!

Rick

Nice looks good. Looks like it bit into those sticks nicely too. I can't wait to see its new style.

Nice pics, Rick:thumbup:

Thomas, a generous gesture, as always!

This collab. is right up there at the top of my list with the Kershaw Tilt:thumbup::thumbup:

Kershaw and ZT just keep 'em coming, don't they?:D

I'll take images of the factory processes as we go along, including the first ones that come off the line.

I'll also do a giveaway of an early serial #'d one. The giveaway will be limited to folks that only posted in this thread.

Hi Thomas -

I will be very interested in the factory shots from Kershaw.

I am on kershawguy's pre-order list for this one.

best regards -

Great work - can't wait!!!

Ok guys here are some more pics of the prototype 0550....we've all seen the 0550 in photos sitting on a background all nice and clean...I took my sample out today and did a few light cutting chores with it such as cutting branches in half, whittleing a sharp end on branches and such. In the photos you will see that my hand is able to get far up on the blade while still being firmly on the handle...you have a really powerful downstroke using this folder, as well as alot of fine control with the tip. And with a final picture of a dirty knife! As some of you know I love nothing more than a used heavy duty knife!

Thanks for those pics. The knife is looking awesome! I can't wait to get one in my hands!

Excellent pictures Rick. Thanks for taking the time to fill us in - we live for teasers like this.

Personally, I really like the way the blade shape and positioning allow you to "dig in" to the cutting chore at hand and put a lot of weight behind the blade without it wanting to start slicing. I'm sure there's a more scientific description out there, but for me this looks to be outstanding design for tough cutting tasks. The finger choil may be a little iffy, but the whole package looks fantastic.
