Thanks for the pics, Thomas!!!

.

Just curious, but is the skeletonized slab that will sit behind the G10 also made of titanium?

Just for fun. I hope Rick and Kershaw guys don't mind.
I absolutely love the 350/550. Too bad it probably will never happen. I really dislike stock 350 handle.

The liner is made out of 410 stainless.

It looks skeletonized enough that the liner should be lightweight. I'm just happy that the liner is there so that the thumbstud can make contact on both sides. I would say, again, that I'm looking forward to this knife, but that's about as obvious as saying that I like to breathe. :D

So the 551 will release with a metal liner? The prototype didnt have one if I'm not mistaken. Does it mean the thumbstuds contact both sides of the handle finaly? Any pics of this finished version of the new knife?

read the post DIRECTLY above yours.

Or, perhaps, just a hole for the thumbstud (s).??

I was serious, I really was. I know humor/tongue in cheek can be hard to detect on the internet but I figured that one was obvious. Guess not. What did they do before smiley faces?

The hole for the thumbstud does look really big though. It's bigger than the pivot hole.

Tony, we should hang out more often!:D Pro Series, Kershaws, Hinderers.....we love all the same stuff:thumbup: I can't wait to get my 0550 in hand. This is going to be my favorite production knife this year without a doubt!

Next year at BLADE show. If memory serves me, all of the Kershaw crew is supposed to meet up. First round is on me. :D

Looks like a real winner here. Has the potential to become one of the best production knives ever, perticularly in it's size-range, and in it's price-point.

Exactly. But, the thumbstud could be removed if you REALLY want a spyderhole. :D

Oh, and I forgot to mention, WOOOOOHOOOOO, September!

Uhmmmm... I'm a guessing if removed then there's nothing to stop the blade in the opening direction? Like as in stop pin? :p

But wow, it's a thick ass pin no doubt. Pretty strong and me likee :D
