For sure. Those hints at more future products have me almost as excited as the current one.
I've felt for a long time the ZT line deserved expansion by Kershaw. Looks like we're heading that way in great style. :)
 
So does anyone know about my other two questions (blade thickness (is it .121 like the 350?) and just confirming that this is 100% manual open, non-assisted)? It kind of got sidetracked on the elmax vs. S30V question.
 
Can't wait for this to come out, it will be an excellent edc. are they still planing on releasing it the end of this month? Or is it October now?

I've actually brought this up several times throughout the life of the thread :-) It's never been explicitly stated, but the idea is it will be 5/32 like most of the ZT lineup.

Wow that really surprises me... it didn't look that thick in the pic at the start of the thread... So, this is a knife that is in between the 0300 and 0350 in terms of blade length but has the 0350 blade thickness... I wish it had the 0350 dimensions.
 
Gentlemen,peers & cohorts,
Despite being on :cool:KershawGuy's pre-order list for the ZT 0551,and asking him by email earlier this evening to put me down for a ZT 0550 in 2011, my gluttony caused me to go back to page 1 and scan thru this entire post...just to be daym sure I didn't miss anything.
Took me over 3 hours; my neck aches and my eyeballs :eek: look like 40 miles of bad KY road,but I firmly intend to own both the ZT 0551 & ZT 0550.
And I have no further questions at this time.

Just talked to ZT...Production is scheduled in Dec with the hopes of getting the first run out before Christmas.

Or, you could get yourself an early Christmas present and buy the ZT0551 special run that is coming at the end of this month/beginning of next month. :D
