That's what I really thought might happen with the surprises - a medium range (cost) but readily available, XM-18 look-a-like.

I'd thought about that for awhile but then figured "no way," guys who spent $6 - $8 hundred on the real deal (non-LEOs) would be jumping out of windows and it wouldn't be right to his customer base.

Rick doesn't seem like he would ever do something like that. Ya never know though?

I am looking forward to something with a 4 inch blade. Hopefully, Rick will move on to more wonderful custom designs in the future. He must be getting weary of churning out 20 XM-18's by hand every month.

Apparently you're not aware of all the knives & products that Rick makes. I do agree with you about artisans who want to expand their creative horizons etc....
