The 0300 series has been the iconic ZT for me. As Scurvy mentioned, though, it's been around for 8 years (or more?).
There have been a number of new models in recent years though, and I would guess they have more designs in the works. In just the last couple of years, there have been a slew of new releases of both in-house designs and collaborations with Hinderer, Rexford, RJ Martin, Emerson, and Sinkevich. I can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves going forward.
There are still a lot of each of those models in circulation (new and second-hand), so it's not as if they'll be especially difficult to find if you are still looking. The clearance deals that a several dealers are offering on those models also provides a great opportunity to get ahold of one now at a good price.
The way I see it:
- This frees up resources at ZT to design and produce new knives - win
- The number of knives already in circulation can meet current and near future demand - win
- Clearance deals from dealers makes the knives available to us at lower cost - win
