Nick Wheeler Prototype Fighter. "Oh YEA "......

Beautiful pics, Joe. With you this pumped about the knife after having it in hand, the anticipation of getting mine is just that much more exciting.

Also nice to see that if you happen into a gunfight, you won't have to rely solely on the knife. :p :D

Beautifully dreamed.. magnificently realized! A man of action....

those colors are great....usually the less choices for me the better, funny...I still am not wavering on my black g10 choice!

+1
When you can see exactly what you're getting in the photos, and it looks that perfect, why tinker? :)

Awesome, I'm so glad it made it there and that you're liking it Joe!!! :)

I took the week-end off from knives completely.
Feeling recharged and raring to go! :)

All these photos were snapped at Johnston's Ridge Observatory... 5 miles from the blast zone at Mt. St. Helens (I've stood up on the very top of that ridge of the mountain off in the background 3 times :) ).

Now can ya hear the whip cracking

Tick Tock :)

Only playing keep us posted buddy

Great pics, beautiful country, good times...

Glad you could get away--that's very impressive stuff. Love the Olympic peninsula, also--and Vancouver Island. A whole lot in your "back yard" -- it would be a shame not to get out and see it.

I'm going with a very cool and different-looking piece of stabilized flame walnut for mine (the piece on the right). It's still going to have that dark look overall, but with some very interesting highlights in the wood.

Thanks guys :)

I feel extremely fortunate to have grown up in such a beautiful place. Funny, most kids I grew up with always complained how "there's nothing to do around here..." I always found plenty to keep me busy. :)

Speaking of keeping busy.... ;) :D

Nick glad you had a great weekend! Always important to recharge our batteries!

Very cool to see the names on the knives, the WIP pics and the updates have added alot to this project, and at the end we get a killer knife from a great maker! Beats the heck out of ordering a knife and wondering for 2 years if it is ever going to get made. Just saying... I sure I'm not the only one to enjoy the interactions with the makers and process.

Nick please feel free to put a RAZOR edge on mine, I like my knives to cut air :)

Thanks jeff ps this is going to be a great self birthday present, just turned 39 a little over an hour ago, funny I don't feel old ;)

Happy Birthday Jeff

Self presents are some of the best kind, be careful though, some you'll be buying knives just because its Tuesday, or Wednesday...

You say that like it's a bad thing? :p

All the best Jeff!

Great to see all those blades lined up Nick.

Thanks guys :)

Jeff, I'm glad you're enjoying this! I had a customer call up yesterday and he mentioned he used to buy a lot of semi production pieces that were very nice and well made...but didn't seem to have the kind of soul that these custom pieces do. I had hoped you guys being able to see that even a "production run" for a maker like me and my buddies, is still very much of a hands-on, intimate process. And hope you had a great birthday!!! :)

For those of you wondering why you had to use your fingers AND toes to count the blades, let's just say some didn't work out right at first, so I made extra...but then I fixed the issues with the first ones. And then three of them might be damascus. And then.... Yea, you get the idea. ;) :) :D

Thanks guys!!! :)

Angi, Erin, and I spent all day Saturday at Cannon Beach...

Dude... I just put all of the pieces together. My name is Erin. My wife's name is Angie... and I nicked myself shaving this morning. You and I are practically brothers... 'cept you look like you can bench more. Seriously, from those photos it looks like you put on about 50lbs since I was at your place a couple years ago. Doesn't even look like the same person. ;)

Hey there!! I am so very proud of you:) Thank you for a very amazing weekend!! Thanks to all of the rest of you guys for being so supportive of Nick and believing in him:) It means a lot to both of us!!
