Nick Wheeler Prototype Fighter. "Oh YEA "......

Here are some quick pics my honey took with her cell phone so there not great
this is a scout sheath very comfortable to carry not great to sit in a car

Fine to sit on chair or 4 wheeler, bike etc.

The quick release Sam brown straps make for quick on and off when getting in car or resheathing

Hides very well with suit jacket , flannel or any other cover garment also under large untucked t shirt

On another note as many of you know I live in Pa but the Jersey ,Delaware and Maryland beaches are not a bad run for me

My kids wanted to go out on the salt water boat so I ran north up the coast after some bay fishing and ended up in NY got to show them the Statue Of Liberty and a view of NY few get to see

It was great to show them Ellis Island where there grandfather came over

Kinda of topic but really cool

Again we forgot a camera this is old ladies I Phone

Remember Danbo what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas :)

I don't know the MAN well enough for those types of comments - besides - did you see the guns on that mutha!
(Not to mention all the weapons AND dead animals that have been in previous posts - Joey is one NOT to mess with!)

I was gonna say something about Joe's scout sheath being a perfect excuse for him to show off his well developed hind quarters, but that would have been a little too Richard Simmons for this crowd, so I left it alone.

Hey, did I just say that out loud?
:D

Well thanks guys....... I guess :)

No worries guys I'm not homophobic remember I bunk with STeven at the shows :)

Classic!

Nicky, I'm going to perpetuate the downward spiral of this thread... 250 pounds? Yeeks! Are you still working out, or has life been too busy? That doesn't sound like a natural weight for you. Christ, I only weigh two-thirds of you!:D:D:D

While lying in bed last night listening to the storm I took a pic of the handle on this knife which by the way feels awesome just to show you guys that went with the black G 10 all the cool activity that is going on

Great light play in the G10--more subtle than carbon fiber, but obviously lots of shimmer in the deep contouring under bright light.

When you are so taken with a blade that you lie in bed admiring it that way, you know it's a special knife--done that very thing myself a few times. In the 1930’s, archaeologist Louis Leakey discovered a site in Olduvai Gorge in the Great Rift Valley of Africa where early humans were making edged stone tools and weapons more than two and a half million years ago. I can imagine those guys enjoying a quiet moment at night next to a camp fire, turning a particularly well-crafted piece to catch the glint and shimmer of firelight, thousands of millennia ago.

Glad you're dry and that the worst of the storm has passed you by, brother. Stay safe!

Cool photo Joe! :)

I got a bit thrown off from getting the first 3 finished because Angi's son Jordan had another orientation for college yesterday. The kid is brilliant and got a full ride to a private college... I went with Angi to his first orientation and it was only right to go with her to this one as well. :)

Oh, and I got a great deal on a 2,000# + steel welding table, so I have to figure out how to get that home.

But no worries... still chipping away at these! :D

Thought you guys might like to see this... I use my 9" variable speed disc sander a LOT (especially after my buddy Mike Quesenberry was here) but with the sharpened clip on these, I found that a couple wraps of Gorrilla tape keeps me from slicing/dicing my index fingers while finish grinding the main bevel!  :D

Is that an Unger Butter knife in the first picture?

Nice - Will buys the first 12 knives out of a 10 piece run - now he's calling DIBS too. Classic!

Michael, O-M-G, that literally made me laugh out loud... ;) :D The Unger butter knife is an ATS-34 blade I ground about 15 years ago. Dug it out of the drawer a few years ago and reshaped it, then flat-ground it to a zero edge and use it to cut sandpaper down on the 9" disc. I know Dan got inspiration from that knife. ;)

Sorry Will, THAT one has Joey's name on it. But coincidentally enough, one marked York and one marked Starr both graciously brushed across a 60 grit belt moving at 5,500 surface feet per minute the other day. ;) :)

Since nothing ever really happened without pics... here's proof of my week-end detour.

First 3 pics are just some of the crazy awesome cars they had at the shop I bought my welding/lay-out table from.

Some would argue it's downright Un-American to not love a GTO like this one!!!   :)

Last 3 pics are the new2me table. Okay I lied, it's a measily 1900 pounds. :o ;)

The sweaty guy who has been busting his ass helping me load and unload the table, AND drove the truck/trailer for me... is the man I am extremely fortunate to call DAD :)

Why do I need such a beastly, heavy table??? B'cuz big, heavy stuff is MANLY! ;) :D

That's boy Nick I love the table

I am so happy things are going well for ya

The blades look great and as I said earlier the proto will be in Vegas this coming weekend and will be in a few hands to admire I am sure

The more I play with this knife the happier I am with how it came out the handle is truly one of the best shaped handles I have felt

True greatness

Yes, I plan on leaving a bit of my DNA(in the form of drool) on it in Vegas. :)
