Hey, thanks for pictures!
I'm kind of worryed that I picked the wrong handle colors, I wanted the strength of G10 but they did not offer all black and we have no preview of the offered colors. I'm really upset at how nice black paper looks(the look I want) on double cut compared to the colors I had picked(ones been shown on here)... Has anyone ever sent a knife back to Busse for re handling, this is my first Busse and its hard enough to pay for when the Snow season hasn't let me out to plow once! thanks

I know of one HOG who got a little too excited during a Ganza and ordered the wrong colors. I didn't think it looked that bad but he hated it. If I remember right, Busse made sure the customer was happy, even though the mistake was admittedly not theirs.

Here is a DC Pork Shank with black canvas handles. Much lighter than the FSH handles but I still think it looks pretty good.

USPS shows an updated delivery date of Wednesday but they came through. Here are my pair along with my SARGE7 and TGLB for a quick size comparison. Also, did Tanker Gray change recently? My Rucki's got a little more blue in it. Still, they look and feel great!!

Hey jball, please post some pics or her after stripping. I really can't wait to wear mine out and strip her :).

No wearing out needed, stripped quite easily. It was a bit dark when I was doing it so I missed some spots but you can see that the finish underneath the coating is LE quality.

After (My strippers):

I stripped the B11 a while back and I was lucky that it also had a satin finish. The Jackhammer doesnt have a satin finish but it looks way cool. I stripped a HG55 a while back that had the same burnt industrial look to it, I dig it.

Very nice! I think I'm going to use mine a bit then do the same. How's the spine look and what did you use to strip it? Thanks!

The spine looks great, there are some dark spots here and there but overall very nice. I used a product called klean strip. Works great but its potent stuff, make sure you but chemical resistant gloves. I used some brass brushes to scrape the paint off. The longer you leave it drowned in the stripper the better. I recommend at least 2 hours. It will also dry out the canvas micarta but once you apply oil it looks great. I'll get some close ups later.

I am wondering about this too. I was expecting the grey to look like your Rucki there, and like the TGLB's recently. Instead, the TG color on the CGNMFSH's is darker and has a brownish tint to it which I'm not so sure I like. :o I expected it to be more grey, which I think looks better especially with the yellow/black handles I got. I'm thinking about calling the Busse ladies tomorrow to ask about it.

Hmm. If I can't decide about this new Tanker Grey color, I may just have to strip it like you did. I figured that with all the machine work done on these (full flat grind, nm treatment) the exterior surface should look nearly as good as the LE (which is also why I suspect that the Competition Finish was unavailable for these). You are right though, it is nearly LE quality. I think all it would take is a bit of rubbing with some scotch bright and it would look the same.

Hand shaped?!?! OH YEAH!!! Those will be gorgeous!!! What colors are getting hand shaped?

Out of the NMFSHs that I ordered, I got two of them handshaped. I figured I would try both handshaped and machined

The two that have handshaped handles are:
Jungle w/ Black Canvas
Muddy w/ Tan Canvas

I can't decide which ones I want to make users. I want two users: one hand shaped and one machined. I guess I'll figure that out today when they arrive!

I really wish I got Arctic. I don't know how I missed out on that one. I love the Arctic finish.
