Flux! Please post pics of your muddy with tan canvas one when you get it.....I need to see how that combo looks before 6-8 weeks!

Here you are, my friend. Home this helps you make it:

I am loving the Muddy & Tan combo, but can't help but be in love with the way the handshaped black canvas looks:

It's been discussed that the Tanker looks different, which I also noticed when mine came, but has anyone else noticed that the Sage looks different too? I haven't owned too much in Sage, just a BWM, Swamp Warden, and Kill Devil Hawk. The Sage on the NMFSHs is definitely lighter and a different tone. I like seeing how Busse has tweaked the colors over time.

Whoa Ill give Zip strip a try next time. How long did you let it soak for?

I figured out if the blade is warm it really speeds it up, I'm talking around room temp or just a little more. The whole knife maybe took me twenty minutes, and that's completely done like you see in the pics, it works fast!

THats some of the nicest stripped INFI Ive ever seen:thumbup:

Oh yes! Thanks flux. Beautiful blades you got there....the handshaped looks good too. I have noticed that the sage coating is also different. In the pics Hobbes posted you can see his sage rodent 9 is different than his sage NMFSH......maybe busse changed some of the coatings for the new year? The muddy brown looks the same tho.

Hard to tell from these pictures but comparing them in person I would say that the new sage is a bit lighter. I like it just as much if not better:)

That is one proffesional satin you got there, it would be very nice if you posted pics of how you did it, did you slightly sand it?

I would be happy to tell everyone how I did it, I can't take much credit though, I just stripped the powder coat off.

When I'm done rinsing the Zip-Strip off with warm water I use a red scotch bright pad with a little dish washing liquid to gently scrub any left overs off. I'll work on a more detailed post,

Thanks again for the compliments, Busse done an awesome job as usual!

How does the Zip-Strip effect the scales? Do you tape them off prior to application?

Klean strip dried out my black canvas micarta scales. I applied some oil and back to normal, on my tigerhide scales however after applying oil they stayed darker than pre-strip. Something to keep in mind.

So......... The blades are coated and then the scales are attached?
When stripping......coating removed on exposed blade, but coating remains under the scales?
Reason I ask ....... DaKruiser' s stripping left such a clean transition between scale and blade.
