no m390 steel models ?

Don't take this as me saying m390 is bad, everything out there shows that's not true. It just may not be the best steel for everyone's uses.

That's a far cry from saying that there are knife uses for which M390 "wouldn't be good at all". I'm glad that you finally agree with me.

The above are steels used by Spyderco. Not all of course, but a good few nonetheless.
Can some of the more experienced members take each steel listed, and list the pros and con's of each? For instance, K390 has great edge retention but, is also not stainless. Which would be great for cutting a lot of cardboard, but will patina very quickly if used for food prep. So, not necessarily pros and con's, but more what each steel would be better/best suited for. Like one member stated, he sees a lot people recommending steels, that aren't good for what they're recommending the steel for. Thank you.
