334dave & BCCL,
Thanks for the info on the diff between the 110 and 111.....

Any of these new hogs have crooked "Buck" stamping?

Stamps look good, as do the grinds.....

Im thinking about taking a black sharpie and coloring the green part to black.....knowing that the pig sticker is truely a collectable Buck,I have to decide weather to use it or loose it.....because if I don't use it what I'll do is probably sell it and I have never sold a Buck yet and don't want to start. The 651 is the coolest BIG BLADE I've ever owned, except for a big hunk of steel that 334 dave crafted about ten years ago and he got that back! Now what is the final anwser on this bad a** Buck, how many made, how many in the U.S. and is it officially the longest, biggest, heaviest production Buck ever

Longest blade maybe in recent years but if I recall there is a 10 and 11 inch blade Custom Buckmaster's out there..Not the Heavest as my normal 184 and 890/650 build out 's are heavier. I just picked one up at the local Post Falls Pawn shop. I hauled butt for 1 hour to get there. No joke. I felt  bad buying it with all the recent job loss but better me than some shmoe;) .I would love to know how many are here in the USA also. I now have 4 total!! Traded for a emerson and $40. 2 for my buisness and I will bring 1 to the BCCI next month for trade maybe and keep one

Hey MW...
I'll take out the calipers after my beer buzz wears off. But, I swear my high dorrah 651 is off.

...I agree Gooserbrewmeister......It's visually off location and it appears almost .030 off just from the pics which would be noticeable easily. These shoulda been seen at the stamping operation quickly. I don't know if Buck's presses are big enough to blank these through dies but I worked with presses that could have easily blanked and stamped these in one operation...Damn that brew sounds good...:p

Hey Doc D.,
Yeah, it ain't no big thing. Just an observation. It's that trained Eagle eye of mine LOL.

As for the brew...now I am drinking "Dasani plus for Relaxation"...cracks the wife up...she thinks that if I were any more laid back, I'd be a spot on the rug.

...LMAO...Well ya need some "relaxation" now and then too Goose. I don't think that stamp is a big deal either. It's the one "First Piece" inspected one that's gonna be the weird one...It'll have a stamp dead-nuts perfect...LOL...:p

I think I am going to get Dave to write the descriptions for any ebay auctions I might have in the future. He has the magic touch!

Looks like someone snatched his heading script, and the other guys photos, untimely auction too. Probably someone from here, so, I'll shut up now.

I'll go ahead and say it. He isn't here as a part of the Buck Brothers. He is an opportunist that lurks here to see what the latest craze is and then goes off and puts up one for sale. Is strictly out there for the dollars.

Many of us have bought from his auctions in the past, and he may have even won some of our auctions. He is famous tho, for buying cheep when maybe no one else is bidding, and immediately turning around and posting the same knife at a higher starting price. and thats ok I guess.

and yeah, his stealing the subject line is in bad taste as far as I am concerned. Up to him doing that, it has just been business. Now, I am a bit disappointed in him.

sorry about the rant

And Mike, wht we are looking at is the stamp BUCK doesn't precisely line up with the spine. A slight slant. Like Goose said, no biggie. Was just an observation.

I have also noticed that Decaff's pic of the box end, has a different date stamp than my 11/08/2007 date stamp. But his knife still appears to have a 2007 year stamp.

I find that strange. I figured that these all would have been boxed and stamped at the same time..... not

Wow you beat me to it. :D

You don't have to be sorry for the "rant" either, there's nothing wrong with telling the truth...

With that said, mine has the 11/8/07 stamped on the box end as well.

Awesome knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...I have "edited" the heck out of rodent's statement to suit my response to "Whatabutt's" auction...:grumpy:...Is this "plagiarism"???...:p

Pack Rat,

Thanks for the heads up. I won't fault a guy for trying to turn a "Buck" but I think the right thing for the guy to do would have been to wait a couple of days, or, to have put it up for auction rather than "buy now". Especially considering that he is obviously sucking from the teat of the combined knowledge of you all......

Anyhoos, here's a shot of my box ends, same as yours:

Hey MW...
As Pack Rat stated...it ain't no big thang...but when I took a pic of the 651 and posted it in another thread, I noticed the "BUCK" was just a tad tilted.
Just an observation...not a complaint.
For the ~$75 I paid for the cool steel, I ain't sweating it.
And, for the ~$45 I just paid for it's twin, sheet, it could be upside down for all I care :)

BTW, the black gunk on the blade is residue from sheath extraction. Haven't cut a thing with this hog sticker yet.

Description items parsed from Item #280238181216; "RARE"? "1 of 60"

The only time I thought it was "rare" was when I heard only 15 were in the CONUS. Then I got a funny feeling in my thighs like climbing a pole in the second grade. Now, I'm not so sure.
Just wrote the seller asking the source of the "60" number...or maybe he will reply here???
