Kubota BX series is very nice - TYM and Mahindra also make good models in that size for a few $k less.
a couple details - Kubota weighs the least of the sub compact and compact tractors, which means you need to fill the tires with window washing fluid or add weights. Also, industrial style tires have less traction on the grass than standard ag tires, but are more puncture resistant and do less damage to the grass. lawn tires have decent traction, do the least amount of damage to the yard, but are the easiest to puncture

window washing fluid? what?

weights are standard with a dragger too yes?

the fact these come in around 1500 lbs means i can trailer it with my wagon! that's cool.

it would encourage me to buy a wood lot, perhaps clean it out, and then sell it. buy another one.

there's a guy around here own skidder and buys properties, esp ones with QUALITY old wood, and takes the time to harvest them properly, sells the good wood for a premium, and junk wood for whatever, finds any other good resources, then flips the property as improved ;) there's a few operations around here that take full flat bed loads of logs for other purposes too. everything is sold. then you find out about "use tax" :D

repeat!

So, you start with the bacon
Bacon1.jpg

get it cooked the way you want it

My sister likes to buy this "center cut" bacon which has ok flavor, however it goes from raw to burnt in 15 seconds flat.

As we all know the best thing to go with bacon is beef. What is better for breakfast than corned beef hash

I didn't get a picture of the eggs cooking, cause they cook too quickly.

But then you assemble

I used havarti on top and melted it slightly and I did a sauce of Franks Buffalo Red Hot, Sriaccha, Sour Cream, and Maple Syrup

Wish we had a good knife place around here. Scheels was carrying a few Becker knives at one time, but not anymore.

I'd say online knife sales will continue to be the way I buy blades.

Many folks would prefer to support a local mom'n'pop store whenever possible, and I support that... at least in concept. But if those stores simply can't, or simply refuse to carry better quality knives (or whatever)... *shrug*. It's unfortunate but there it is. If it wasn't for online sales I'd still be working a "real" job...

Good thing that you're allowed to exercise a bit. Swimming is great for that too, not a lot of injuries among swimmers. 3K/hour is a good distance and an excellent workout. However, that's only possible if you have the pool for yourself, but rather difficult if there are a lot of others in the water as well. 4K/hour is quite the distance though. I don't know if my dexterity would allow it to be honest. When I swam competitively, I always trained for short distances. 25, 50, maybe 100m. At 200m I never even made the stage. Same thing with running. Short, explosiveness. That's my thingy. Running for an hour... NOPE.JPG :D. I can do it, but I lose a lot of speed and pretty much have to drag myself further. A lotta respect for those long-distance guys. I'm not one of 'em.
I am only a distance swimmer in the pool, not a racer. And you've never seen such a slow runner. When you're a stone, ya gotta roll. I like bicycles.

i got the mega driveway, and some areas that need clearing regularly from drifts; shoveling by hand is "right out". so i got a MACHINE. i can do all of that from a storm with two feet in under an hour and less than one tank. awesome.

that said, yar: http://www.kubota.com/product/bxseries.aspx

i want one of those. lots. 15-19k loaded. 9k entry level. sweet. maybe i'll find a used one :D

it will do it all. dig, drill, backhoe, mow, plow, drag, push, lalala
I wish. I don't have the acreage or storage space.

one of teh mods is smoking reefer and it's not me
I like the snark plugs best.
one of these two quotes just became my new sig. or maybe both of them.

I love supporting mom and pop stores. Especially when they take my advice on stuff to bring in. That is the best, for me at least. Yeah they may be 5-10 bucks higher than online, but I don't have to pay for shipping, or wait for shipping. I get to actually handle it before I buy it, I develop that repertoire with the owners they know me, I know them.

Well, maybe you can. I didn't though! :D

Glad to see the snark back to snarkin........ here's a random pup update. Sophie sure is growning fast. From 15 lbs. When we brought her home 2 days before Christmas. To 29lbs. today. She loves being a lap dog. Wonder how that's gonna work when she gets full grown? Lol.

You gonna bring Sophie to Blade?

Welcome to the Snark Todd!

No, the dog will be going to stay at Mamma's house for Blade. The wife will be with me though. That meets my quota for blonde females :D

Wow that dog is getting big quick!!

She really is growing fast, everyday she finds new things she can do, she's very sweet. Were sure happy we got her.

Did a little cooking on my emberlit stove. I can't rave enough about this little bad boy!

Venison Steaks:

And some after lunch coffee:

Does that stove have any type of grill top? Or do they make an attachment or something for it?

I know one of the mods posted a stove with a grill top, just wondering if that one has something similar.

Steaks look good too :)

The venison steaks do look yummy!

Todd, I totally understand what you're putting down! I think I could only handle one blond at a time too! However gingers... Well, even King Solomon would have a hard time keeping up!

WW, I don't /THINK/ that they come with a grill, they may come with a cross-member but I think really it's just put something like a pan on top.

Oh ok, looks like any type of light grill top wood work on there probably.

And I just seen the new 100 dollar bill. I didnt even know they made a new 100, i thought it was fake money.

Howdy, 'heads. Nice pup, cool stove, tasty food. What'd I miss? :D

Pro Bowl happening here today. Hoping that it's not too busy at work tonight.

It actually can hold some substantial weight. The Warrior said he's seen 200lb guys stand on them with no problems.

As for the 100--yea, it looks like european currency IMO.

WW, I am sorry to say that I broke that Queen Sodbuster. I was trying to get something out of the elevator door track and when it came loose the door rolled over the blade snapped it, and jerked it out of my hand. I nearly lost a finger.
The knife is down in the elevator pit in pieces somewhere. I am a sad panda now.

We're finishing out January with another blizzard. That makes one for every week this month. Both interstates are closed and I'm just waiting for the DOT to close the highway that goes through here, so I can take the night off.
