I ordered ss, and the guy messed up and sent me the Ti one. I didn't think it worth the extra money, hence why I ordered the ss one. It doesn't weigh that much more.

Im not so concerned with the weight more than I am the heat dispersion. how long before you can break it down and go. AND, if a man was to make a leather pouch for it, would the after use mess ruin the inside of it if cleaning abilities are limited in the field?

heres my thought/question on the stove. It looks like the perfect thing to make my coffee on in the morning when Im out on a minimal camping trip, overnight kayak trip, or up in the woods at Ethans, but, I don't want to wait 3 days for it cool down, and when I put it up I want it to be until the next time I use it. Is it hard to clean as far as all of the left over violence from the flame, heat, and coals? Can it be done in the field with very little resources?

What's up with the snark title? One of the mods drinking Lysol today?

ain't me.

could be c-bear frakking with us

probably guyon, you know how he is when he hits the jerky

not likely moose, unless he's stealth and laughing

could be derek, that hippy likes to cause trouble

course, if it keeps up, someone will end it :D

The stove cools down fast because it's so thin. Then breaks down into flat pieces that wipe right off. It gets a patina from the fire, but that's about it. Really a great piece of gear.

I think it's Bladite's Nyquil.

i don't do nyquil, it causes very bad side effects

actually, don't do drugs either.

and it ain't me.

but i will notice guyon has blamed me several times now

MMM

also, officially, i'm getting tired of tracking changes and antics

otherwise, i have three sizes of Becker packs now, my life is complete

I know where you were. Damn, that did look good. I'm just glad there wasn't a Black & Tan sitting next to it.

Different place, actually, that makes a Midwest-style burger with thin, nearly crispy patties. Crazy good. I just ran a 10K as penance. :p

You woke up in Reno with a lady goat, didn't you?

I hate this effing forum sometimes. Won't even let me start a new thread.

Many folks would prefer to support a local mom'n'pop store whenever possible, and I support that... at least in concept. But if those stores simply can't, or simply refuse to carry better quality knives (or whatever)... *shrug*. It's unfortunate but there it is. If it wasn't for online sales I'd still be working a "real" job...

I'd much rather buy locally, but as you said if they can't or won't carry better quality knives that just won't happen.

No shit, I'm not sure what the problem is on this forum, but it's the only one that gives me problems. I can't even get a page to load half the time.

I give up. Tried 4 times, screw it. On a side note, when you see the thingy in the lower left part of the screen , that tells you a page is loading, it said waiting for Bladeforums yada yada chameleonbear. Wtf does cbear have to do with me starting a thread, haha?

So I ordered a Maxpedition Condor II in khaki, and a 3 litre CamelBak Antidote bladder with a cleaning kit. My family is paying for it, it's going to be for my birthday next month.

This. I'm amazed how fast it cools down.
