17° out now, and with 31mph winds, it feels like -3°. Freakin' wind is strong. 31 sustained, gusting to 55mph.
Shouldn't have had all those beans on the walk!
Well, Dex, it's just as far for me, and driving isn't an option! Those gatherings look like more fun than I'd know how to handle. That and I don't know anybody else here that owns Beckers, so a Hawaii gathering is out of the question for now.
Since I keep having the ad for it pop up, anybody have an opinion on WorkSharp's Field Sharpener? I've seen it at one of my local toy stores a while ago and took a good look at it. Intriguing, to say the least.
I only know about the one the wife has. One thing about these, you have to make sure you set the flame very low, and take it off the heat as soon as it's done. Otherwise, you can melt the rubber gasket in them.Alright Warrior........... Those awesome pics out in woods with that Espresso maker really makes me want to hit the buy now button. I found an aluminum one and a stainless one within a dollar difference shipped...... Should I go for one over the other? Im thinking stainless........ Ugh....... I really need go get off the computer and go to sleep before I order this thing tonight in my insomniac state.

So I ordered a Maxpedition Condor II in khaki, and a 3 litre CamelBak Antidote bladder with a cleaning kit. My family is paying for it, it's going to be for my birthday next month.
We need a Becker Texas Gathering. I looked at the west one and it's 2,200 miles away from me. Ugh........ would have to plan a whole week just to get there and back.
I don't feel comfortable flying with my blades. Damn TSA.
Sweet. We'll need photos.
Nice. I love my Condor II. Happy early birthday.

Happy Monday, you lunatics!
Happy Monday, you lunatics!
I'm not so sure about that. The first time I went to SMKW (in E TN), we saw a car with Hawaii plates in the parking lot.![]()
I'll second the Happy Monday!!
I would imagine that the car you saw belonged to a soldier from Ft. Campbell, KY, freshly reassigned from the 25th Infantry (in Hawaii) to the 101st Air Assault (Ft. Campbell). The gub'ment will ship one of your cars back and forth for free, so you'll see the occasional plate from Hawaii around any military installation.
