I am going to have to get a titanium Emberlit because of Warrior.

That anodization is hawt.
Haha, damn, Emberlit and Snow Peak should give me commission for all the stoves and pots people have purchased since my hiking thread. :D

Something, or someone is screwing with me on this forum. I can post normally, but it won't let me start a new thread. Never had that happen before.

The wind really picked up here. Sounds like it's gonna take our house to Oz. 30mph, with gusts of 50mph.

Theres no doubt from my standpoint that you are the man Dubz. Of coarse we have had a couple of pretty cool projects together, and one in the works now. AND, if you saw my last PM. If you can get that measurement to me, I thought of doing a WIP thread for a project in honor of your greatness! :D (hows that for bribery!)

Haha, I'll get it to ya. Wait'll you see this latest project brudda. Just what the Dr. ordered.

So I ordered a Maxpedition Condor II in khaki, and a 3 litre CamelBak Antidote bladder with a cleaning kit. My family is paying for it, it's going to be for my birthday next month.

Nice. I love my Condor II. Happy early birthday.

I give up. Tried 4 times, screw it. On a side note, when you see the thingy in the lower left part of the screen , that tells you a page is loading, it said waiting for Bladeforums yada yada chameleonbear. Wtf does cbear have to do with me starting a thread, haha?

I've noticed several times recently when I've selected a couple of posts to "multi-quote" that the forum brings up the last 3 or 4 multi-quotes that I've done so I have to delete a bunch of irrelevant stuff. Weird. I think I'm gonna blame Guyon...

Burger porn.

Don't let the pic fool you though. I got serious today about keeping the weight off.

PM sent Todd.

I've had that happen recently as well.

Tapatalk has been doing some weird things with quotations.

I hope so. I have a 4 and the Junglas, the 6 really seems like a nice knife. The 5 however, doesn't do anything for me. I am interested in the 3 eventually.

skip the 3, get the izzy 2 -- the handles are more comfortable, it costs a chunk less (even with the kit), and no stupid choil. (or wait for the new ESEE/Gibson collab)
that said, the 6 is one of my favorite "does everything well" knives.

heres my thought/question on the stove. It looks like the perfect thing to make my coffee on in the morning when Im out on a minimal camping trip, overnight kayak trip, or up in the woods at Ethans, but, I don't want to wait 3 days for it cool down, and when I put it up I want it to be until the next time I use it. Is it hard to clean as far as all of the left over violence from the flame, heat, and coals? Can it be done in the field with very little resources?

sheet metal cools pretty quick - especially in the shade.
most of the soot will wipe off, especially if you have some sand nearby.

Nailed it. I tried to get Ethan to talk Jeff out of a Gibson proto at SHOT for me. I like the look of that one.

The weird thing is, I very rarely eat in the woods, but your photos compel me to own one.

I can hear the trees outside crying. Pretty freaking crazy weather. At least it was nice today, though.

Interesting. I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

oh, yeah - Bladite: washer fluid doesn't freeze. it costs a LOT less per gallon than calcium carbonate (AKA "beet juice") and isn't corrosive.
filling your tires adds weight, which equals traction for ground engaging tools (snow plow, scraper blade, box blade, front end loader, disk harrow) and lowers your center of gravity for times when you're working on a slope.

I've always been able to post 40 photos per post here. Did that change?

Unfortunately, there's no telling when that Collab will actually arrive. I will, of course, be getting one though... but to tide me over I did just get a second 3 with TKC Black/Blue G10.

On the Esee website it says Expected shipping date to dealers: June 2014.

Ill be getting one as well. Looks like Esee finally has a knife with a comfortable handle.

Iv'e been wanting the 6 for a while now. I have the Izula and actually ordered an Izula II last week. Should be here tomorrow or Tuesday.
Those new ESEE camp lore knives will be in my collection for sure. I think Dave Canterbury is working on a collab Knife in that line as well. Should be interesting.

And the ESEE 3 and the ESEE 4 have the same handle right?

I hope so... though I'm sure the Mrs. doesn't feel the same. lol
