Are the Jetboils built better than they look? I have read how efficient they are, but they look cheapish to me.

Dubz, I got one of the very first ones from the owner of Hooper's. It has been on every single trip I (and we) have taken since then. Never had a glitch and it's banged around in dry hatches, packs and the back of the truck for years. The same one still goes everywhere we go. I would bet my life on it.

I was over at my Mom's place a couple of weeks ago and found my Dad's old True Temper axe under a pile of leaves behind the shed. It was the last tool he used as he was splitting kindling the morning of the day he passed away. It had been there rusting away under some leaves for four years. I didn't take a picture before I started on it, but just finished restoring it. It's a great small axe and will be my carry then be passed on to my son then hopefully his son.

It will shave.

That's a damn good question and I don't know. That is the only one I've ever used. We did pick the bigger one up a while back and have had it out a few times. Seems well made to me.

Ralph, I have ABP on my computer at home, however when on my phone I don't. Which is where it gets more annoying cause real estate is already at a premium.
