I talk to our critters all the time. What's wrong with that?

I agree completely. I could tell some funny/poignant stories about our cats/dogs and their heirarchy, but it would be long and probably boring to anyone else. Suffice to say, cats are social animals too, despite pop culture opinion to the contrary.

Heck, ask Gus and Christine, they've met the silly little rascals. :)

This gif definitely reminds me of Miss Slippy, my shop cat/pest control officer/keeper away of evil spirits and head of the THK complaint department... she don't fool around. ;)

I'm tellin ya bro, it's just like northern WI (forests, wildlife, waterways, gorgeous scenery, fishing/hunting/farmland etc), except half of it is standing on edge and winter is basically nonexistent. It was weird getting used to driving here, because all the streets/roads are insanely narrow... it took me a minute to realize... they don't have to leave 6 extra feet on either side to allow for snowbanks to pile up.

I'm not a huge Daniel Tosh fan, but he did say something in one of his standup specials that really resonated with me... "People ask me, 'don't you like the different seasons?' Yeah, I do! That's why I live in a place that skips the s****y one!"
 
Calling for a possible 7-10" of snow Saturday night, through Sunday afternoon. Love snow, bring it.
 
Morning/afternoon fellers, Kids actually let dad have a couple more hours of sleep so today should be a good day. Got some cleaning to do today, and tomorrow is chainsaw and ladder day (damn trees and ice dont mix). Should be fun.

Beautiful pic James, reminds me a little of a "hill" on the property. Highest point for awhile and you can see all the way into both towns to the East and West. You can see for miles and miles (insert Who song).

Nothing is wrong with that. I talk to critters all the time, I just think it is funny the way he does it. She's got him wrapped around her paw, and for someone as emotionally detached as my brother used to be, it is strange for me to see.
 
That's a great looking blade, Erd! It kind of looks like a mini chef's knife, which would be quite useful around camp or home.
 
That's a real beaut, Erd. Looks like you could use and use that blade for hours on end happily. That ESEE is pretty nice, too.

Here is something yall might like. Been fooling around with my new maxipedition fatboy and I think I have it pretty good for now. Need a canteen attachment for a bottle and maybe a small extra pouch to one side so I can make a little more room in the body of it. Used to bum around with a full size backpack from swiss army. Great pack with tons of room that doesnt look tactical, but its a heavy bag before you load it up, and I have a problem with overpacking. So this satchel bag helps me minimize, also its size is a little bit more conducive to the type of environment I am usually out in. Coupled with a larger fixed blade I have pretty much everything I need for hunts/just hanging out in the woods. Probably weighs less than 15 lbs with the bull barreled 22/45 and shells.. Which by the way is in my opinion the best semi auto 22 pistol made.

 
Been a rough day round these parts. Mom got fired, for some total crap. I ended up moving back into their house to help with stuff. However that will severely limit my amount of alcohol intake.
