I talk to our critters all the time. What's wrong with that?
I agree completely. I could tell some funny/poignant stories about our cats/dogs and their heirarchy, but it would be long and probably boring to anyone else. Suffice to say, cats are social animals too, despite pop culture opinion to the contrary.
Heck, ask Gus and Christine, they've met the silly little rascals.
This gif definitely reminds me of Miss Slippy, my shop cat/pest control officer/keeper away of evil spirits and head of the THK complaint department... she don't fool around.

There's kind and then there is too kind but then there is also too mean.
You gotta show them who's in charge or they will take over for you. You gotta be the alpha dog in the pack and everyone in the family has to as well.
