Someone at some point had asked if it was possible to make a taco style sheath with me and Pointy's "air welt" and at the time we hadn't attempted one. Got one done Wednesday with Pointy for my Colubris.

Should be easier for something like a BK16.
Y'all may think I'm kidding about this turn toward high speed, low drag, miniature gear, but it's for real. Here's my new folding spork.

Looks like a good time was had by all.
I assume this is close to the former "Indiana Farm Colony for Feeble-Minded Youth", now owned by the Indiana National Guard and used as the Muskatatuck Urban Training Center? Visited there a couple of times for work. Driving through North Vernon was the first time I ever saw a vending machine filled with fishing bait on the sidewalk of a downtown. Cause you never can tell what time, day or night, that you might need some crickets or worms....
the tendency for a pup to try and chew on their leash is one of the reasons we use a short length of steel chain between collar and lead when training.
once the pup gets over that first 5 minutes of sheer panicked frenzy, things go better.
Once they start figuring out how to behave, we switch to a fairly thick "choke" chain -- as it's easier to get on and off and encourages good behaviors, like not pulling suddenly in an odd direction.
Looks like the kids are in love with Sophie!
My dog was a notorious leash biter. I found that holding a small treat in front of the dog while walking keeps the dog occupied and will hopefully keep her mind off the leash. Took my dog a little while but it did work.
I have done a little research on how to train a pup with walking on a leash. I'm certain she will pick it up quick when we actually start working with her. She's 12 weeks old now and the only thing that's on her mind now is chew and play. I havnt picked up a chocker chain yet but I will, allong with a chain leash as well.
Yesterday, was really the first time I have taken her anywhere we she required one. When my two kids where running around and playing in the snow, it killed her that she couldn't do the same. Lol. I'm confident shell get the hang of it this summer, she seems like a pretty smart dog.
