The weather there sounds terrible. I thought South Dakota was bad.Been busy as heck here with work, storms, took my mom for surgery, and trying to get some fishing in. Hope everyone is staying warm and safe with all the weather going on across the country. We went from -30 actual temp in Thursday to 30 and freezing rain on Friday with a quick drop back down to -10 Friday night along with 40mhp winds and snow. Needless to say our roads SUCK!!! I told the Post Office that I wasn't going to haul any mail Friday night and stayed home. Last night I braved 350 miles of glare ice in the semi and got the mail out. It took me 4 more hours than it normally would. We hit our high of -18 today and are supposed to get -30 again tonight. BURRRR!!!
I'll take a day off any day. They don't have to know that.... Besides, I'm running incognito up here in the city with my Silverado. All the Jeeps are in the Southern part of the state.Jeepers don't get snow days.

I should let you borrow the YJ sometime. You haven't lived until you've driven a Jeep with a Detroit locker in the rear on ice/snow.
Record lows expected in my hometown the next few days. They already cancelled school for at least Monday and probably Tuesday... between that and the Packers playing tonight, I bet the grocery/liquor stores were packed solid yesterday and this morning.
I grew up in Wisconsin and sometimes miss those big storms that would sock us in.
It was never a big deal because we always had plenty of meat in the freezer. The whole basement, covering all the walls but a few feet, was lined with home canned veggies, fruits, jellys, jams, more meat, fish.
Not everyone has to have a cushy Jeep with soft, comfortable coil springs. The YJ is about the only way to get a real Jeep, but with the 4.0.Good plan, screw 'em!
You know where to find me, I don't want my friends seeing me driving behind square headlights.
I watched Apocalypto for the first time last night. I liked it.
So you can use your Necker to open a beer bottle, but all you need is a shoe to open a wine bottle....

Not going to lie...I'm thinking about opening a bottle of wine JUST so I can try that.
Dubs, you gotta read about the kid who played the main role. He got a 6 inch sliver in his foot while filming the chase scene and just kept running till they called cut. There is a great article about the kid, and the filming location.
