Dubs - that's a good woman you've got there!
I think you should do whatever it takes to convince her to let you keep hanging around! ;)

our snow is very powdery - no good for making a quinzee. :(
Best wife on the planet. Powdery snow will work fine. You have to kind of throw it up in the air, and let it settle on the pile. Wait for a few hours, put the sticks in, dig out. I've done it before. I have a book somewhere that suggested doing it like that.

PM my cell number incoming.......

:D

Moose
Haha. Damn, my work is never done here.

Eek, a Moose!

Heh :D

Yeah, I imagine that would end up in getting pulled over a lot - full-on felony stop kinda stuff.

I mentioned it to Angie and she said no mines in the yard, either... not even fake ones :(

Women aren't any fun. Well, until they're fun.

2 hours from Manhattan. Tearing out a factory my company just bought. The millwrights arrive tomorrow, and the fun begins. I spent all day disconnecting all the electical prior to their arrival.

Now, all I have to do is direct traffic, point at shit and say "that goes". And try not to freeze to death. The high for tomorrow is 7.

Moose

Don't envy you that job. Layer up OM.

And put it on your list to talk to someone at home about scheduling these extra-curricular activities. :thumbdn:

Good to see Moose posting.

that would be cool.
Mike Snody did a neat one of him doing one of his simpler patterns. It wasn't high speed like that, but it was very cool. It's in a thread here somewhere.

I'm ready to see some Snody/KaBar collabs.

If I like the designs he sends I'll get a Snody Kabar. However I'll never get another one from Mike. If you don't get one of his "High Dollar" knives he treats you like a plebeian.

Moose, good to see you around more. Been missing your rambunctiousness. Layers are vital! Don't have to all be wool, in fact only one should. If you layer too well you'll spend all day sweating and that can be just as bad as freezing.

Are Snody knives really anything special? or is it more about the design sytle/ brand? I've seen a few designs of his that I like, but I cant justify paying those prices when I can buy and customize Beckers

...the wife decided tomake a quinzee out of the snow from the drive. That girl loves winter and the outdoors as much as I do:

i'd love me some quinzee loving girl :)

tip! fill up some contractor bags with air, tie them shut with a cord so they're easy to undo (slip knot), stack the bags the way you want, then bury the bags.

optional: spray water on the snow...

maximizes how much snow you have (or how little you have to move), and you don't have to dig the quinzee out just deflate bags, and remove. reuse them.

fun fun fun.

Good idea on the inflatable. I've seen where people group their backpacks together, throw the snow on top, and take them out for a start.

Kathy made some fine homemade chili and beer bread tonight. A perfect meal for a -8° night.

So WW sent me a nice little Schrade. I really like it. It will for sure get some pocket time. Thanks
