Yup Lawless is a great movie.
And this is one bad MOFO knife. Just got finished playing with it a little. cant wait till it warms up and i can get out to really get some time in using her.

i'd be careful with the random chopping. anything but clear wood on a comp chopper? hello chips.

I closely inspect it after each use. But i have chopped pine, oak, maple, and poplar with no issues. But i did ask Dan the other day if i could use it like a camp knife on any wood or if i should only chop douglas fir or softwoods and he told me any wood is fine. This one has a pretty thin edge but its still a practice edge on it, the ones he competes with have an even thinner edge. But Dan explained sharpening it to me and let me know if i get any dings or chips that i couldnt hone out myself i could send it back to him to get fixed up. But im careful with it, not to the point im scared to use it, but i make sure theres no rocks or nails in the wood and I dont just bang the edge all directions into the wood. I chop with it, and sometimes because of how excited i get i may chop pretty hard even, but so far not a single issue, its still slicing paper with ease.
Its an amazing chopper!! I love this knife!!

The weather man said we was suppossed to get 3 to six inches of snow here last night. I just got up and took the pup out to potty and we seemed to have got about a 1/2 in. Of ice covered with a dusting of powedery snow. I was hoping the pup would go back to sleep but now she's all ralled up wanting to play outside. :grumpy:

Ah the joys of having a dog. It's - 20 Celsius here (- 4 Fahrenheit) without the wind chill (- 29 C if you factor that in) and we can barely get the mongrels back in the house.

He isn't a bad QB. Just he needs to quit his whining, and quit pissing off his O-line. If he does that he's going to be fine. Trestman needs to bring in someone for defense. His line has more open holes than a hooters.

it's down to 9 here, and dropping. expecting -10 tonite.
it's 1 on "the mountain" and expecting -34 there tonite.
4-5 inches of fine powder and "more on the way". not really sure why we're freaking out about 6 inches of snow, given we already had 18+ in two storms, and last year it was dropping 12-14 PER storm up to 2ish feet one time, and we just clear it out and keep going.

In other news, we finished the holiday festivities yesterday at my parents house. Part way through, dad said they had found a knife a while back. The griptilian that I lost after our trip to Yellowstone in July has floated to the surface.
