You're talking to the guy who has mixed White Castle, Taco Bell and Budweiser...

Still nothing compared to the chicken from the gas station in Monterey VA.

After looking at all the tweeners, I'm having a bit of a hard time justifying the extra cash for a 16 or 17 when I could get the 15 for 40 bucks.. We'll have to see when the time comes. It seems like it could still baton almost as good as the others (already have a 9 for that anyway), and probably feather/skin/slice better.

Yeah, grab a 15 for sure... Is affordable, going extinct, and you already know Beckers so you won't regret it. I'm sure it'll handle any farm work. Slicing bags, cutting twine(though serrations rock that out), just general knify work, it's great.

I know, I probably shouldn't have said what I did, but I absolutely meant no harm by it.

It's OK to say something off-the-cuff and then think it through. Sometimes, a person decides, "Hey... that's not what I really meant... let me ponder on that a bit and get back to ye." That's how humans develop critical thinking skills. It shows character. No harm, no foul

..."conscious respectfulness" (I made that up right now)...

I think I understand your point, and I like it. I consciously try not to disrespect anyone because of stuff like color or creed or class... I honestly don't care if you're blue or green or how much money you have or which invisible ghost you worship (or not). That's really none of my business.

But on the rare occasions when I do dare to insult someone, I make no bones about it, no matter who they are. Trust me, if I'm pissed off at you, you'll know, one way or another ;)

It kinda all boils down to a quote from "The Shootist", spoken by John Wayne...

I won't be wronged. I won't be insulted. I won't be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to other people, and I require the same from them.

Back to knifery...

Would y'all take the 15, 16, or 17 for general woods/farm use?

Yes!

I'd pick the 16. Unless I thought I'd need a pointier point more often... They're all dang good general-purpose/EDC/bushcraft/survival knives; choose the one that speaks to you.

Yikes. Isn't that against the Geneva Convention or some other international chem/bio warfare treaty? :D I'm not allowed to consume White Castles or Krystals on road trips, or inside the house...

I'm not allowed to eat White Castles around people that are not also eating them. They say it's unfair. I'm also not allowed to eat them if I am drinking beer, OR if I have eaten Saurkraut or brussel sprouts, or taco bell already in the day.

It'd probably do everything from beheading watersnakes that I shoot (shot shells from a .22 pistol usually don't kill 'em, just knocks 'em out. :D) to occasionally (as in whenever I got bored and didn't have the 9 near by) batonning. I'd probably use it to practice on feather sticks too, I'm not very good at those :o. I don't really need a really pointy knife that often, but I like choils and I think the extra blade length may be useful.. Plus it's a solid 30 dollars cheaper and I've never tried a trailing point. :D

Nooby question time.. Is the sheath on the 15 and 16 the exact same, or is the 15's longer?

That's what I thought...apology accepted :D

Boop boop beeeeeeep beep beep boop!

They're the same....

Yeah, I understand, trust me. But it's all the same to me...don't worry, your secret is safe with me.
