HAHA!! Thanks bud!

We love camping... wife, kids and all. I agree about it being romantic too, but the wife would say when it comes to being romantic, i lack knowledge in the word entirely... But she says I make up for that by eating pickled eggs, raw oysters and drinking Heineken beer, and blowing the most horrendous farts under the covers while she's trying to sleep..

There, fixed that for you Wood!!!

Doc

That's funny, I actually met Mr. Keen in Newport at some function. He's a local inventor/entrepreneur, though I think he's no longer directly involved with the shoe operation. I have a pair of their slightly ventilated mid-ankle steel toes, and they are EXCELLENT boots. I wear 'em on the ship.

Yeah, glass is wicked hard. I'd remove it before chopping, but you did make a great picture! Smashing it with a hammer might be the way to go. Or disintegrating it with a grinder. :D

(please please remove the battery and wear safety glasses)

I like the looks of the keens... Price is a bit steep though. But they do look comfy!!

Hammering a phone to pieces does sound like fun... But i have to admit chopping through it was no bore fest either LOL

I'm guessing you didn't make it to prom this year.

Happy anniversary WW. This time next year you can celebrate in the surf in Florida.

Thank you sir!! My wife's b-day is in August... So im thinking up a dual purpose outing LOL

Could flick it like an old asian man with a fu manchu.
Happy anniversary. And I think you got it right the first time. If substituting "I" instead of "my wife and I" makes it sound weird, it's wrong. But then again, I studied math because I don't understand english.

Thanks brother, and yea man.... English is tough stuff HAHA

I have never WANTED to trim my nose hairs... That one is a trick question LOL

The keen newports are nice. Not $100 nice though. I found mine for a good deal. Check out the Teva Dozer sandals. I like them much better. My current ones have lasted forever. The look like hell right now but they feel great!

Jeremy

I really like the looks of the Teva Omnium sandals.

Do you wear socks with the Dozers? Im not a fan of socks... Im not a fan of shoes either, but id prefer something over ripping my feet up LOL

Besides for the Heineken beer i think you figured me out pretty well :D

Now... Who has a Shimano Stradic CI4+, size 4000, for me??

Nope, no socks with sandals unless I am getting out of my hammock in the middle of the night to throw a whizz and I am wearing socks to keep my feet warm while I sleep.

OK. Been trying to wrap my brain around this but am coming up short. There are three eyelets on the bottom of the tweener sheaths. Two of them (bottom ones) can be used for lashing. What the hell is the third one for. Its closed off by stitching on the top and covered on the back. Best thing I could come up with is maybe a drain hole for the water that makes it through the tight stitching on top? Anyone know? Or have any ideas?

DM, they are some of the better of the Busse knives in many peoples opinions. They are tough but tend to come with obtuse grinds. Nice ergos, not a bad price point.

You are doing it right
I kind of want a scrap yard knife.
Anybody have any experience?

I have some.... Im not a huge fan of res-c, but then again im not a fan of rubber type handles on any knives. Dont mean i wont own them though... That being said... The blade profiles are nice, and for a while now they have been using SR101/52100 steel same as Swamp Rat. But as you may of noticed all the knives are currently sold out, and i heard Dan plans to be bringing knives out in batches, and possibly different steels including 5160...

I have held most of the normal line-up, I LOVE the 1111 most of all. More than the 1311. Due to thickness. Sweet blades. But I prefer swamp rat personally due to the handles.

Oh, and the Mountainmandu is now on swamp rats website. A lot of knife for around ~240.

I have been known to wear socks with sandals in public when in the mood to embarrass my sisters and nieces.

I have a clip point ScrapMax 460. Nice thin grind, used it all the time. It was my kitchen knife before I got my THK. I've never used any of their thicker blades or choppers.

Silver, if you don't mind me asking, where in VA do you live? I keep trying to convince dad to let me set up a gathering on our mountain. :D

I want to get a nose hair trimmer. I don't have tufts of hair coming out of my nostrils but they're pretty thick in there and every so often I get an annoying one bothering the other side of the nostril or something. Twice I've had a nose hair grow out and curl around and tickle the outside of my nose. Ever rip a nose hair out with a leatherman? It sucks slightly less than having a nose hair tickle the outside of your nostril constantly for hours.

I tell ya, I never wanted to trim mine either....but 12 bucks for a Norelco is worth every penny when the nose hairs and the mustache hairs start going at it like siblings on a long car ride.....you know, when one pokes the other then pretends to be looking out the window, then the other does it, escalating the whole thing until dad slams on the brakes and makes everyone get out of the car? Nose hair trimmer good. Errant nose hairs? Effing irritating to the extreme.

Mine starts trying to creep out of my nose every couple months or so, then i trim them up. I got a cheap trimmer years ago that works like crap, tickles then starts to pull the hairs and that HURTS... But i use it so rarely i never think to get a new one.

Pulling nose hairs with ANYTHING, ANY WAY, is torture. I had my nose broken pretty badly years ago, was told i should get surgery but i couldnt afford it and declined it. Since then my nose has been a bit crooked, and there is like a lump on one side.. well one side is concave and the other is... Convex?? Anyways since then, my nose is VERY sensitive to bumps or hits... And id likely still choose a punch to the nose over letting someone pull my nose hairs out. Thats just cruel and unusual punishment there.

The fight was...eh...OK...
I really wanted Manny to win too. I wanted to see Manny knock Mayweather cold.
He needed to press the fight with more combos.
But even when he did, Floyds defence made it tough to connect with anything.
Floyds jab kept Manny at bay and connected all night. That's why he won.
I'd like to see a rematch, but it won't happen...
Manny will always be the peoples champ.
Floyd was a tactitian last night. Just like he always is. Like him or not, the man can box....smartly.

Whelp, looks like I'm going to have to browse the busse for sale subforum for a bit then.

One in the back for dancing?

So I bought a six of Left Hand 'Good JuJu' and a four of Finch's Pale Ale tallboys.
They're both ok - the Good JuJu is a straight-up basic ale with a genuine ginger note instead of any hops at all. A ginger-ale, if you will. The Finch's is really an IPA in Pale Ale clothing, and a bit bitter for my taste. Not in love with either.

Well, I had an idea and committed beer heresy: mixed 'em 1:1 and now they're awesome! It's a real Ginger Pale Ale, very nicely balanced. I'm going to drink the remainder this way. Actually it's best with a smidge more of the JuJu to let the ginger out.

And in case any of y'all think I'm OVER INDULGING by having TWO WHOLE BEERS to myself, consider this in my defence: I spent about 11 hours driving into, inside, and out of New York City today. In a pickup. Worst traffic I've dealt with on those roads in a decade. (normally I live 2.75hrs away)
